The Supreme Student Council (SSC) of Pateros Technological College (PTC) formally solidified its partnership with the College Administration through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on April 30, 2026. The agreement establishes a comprehensive framework for administrative cooperation and support, ensuring a smooth, efficient, and inclusive transition for the upcoming General Student Elections for Academic Year 2026-2027 with the theme โIntegrity in Action, Service with Passion.โ This landmark collaboration highlights the institutionโs commitment to maintaining a cornerstone of student representation by streamlining election-related concerns and requests.
The document was officially signed by SSC Vice President John Paulo G. Tena and PTC College President Dr. Analiza F. Arcega. They were joined by a distinguished group of administrative partners, Vice President for Finance Prof. Carmelita S. Gestiada, Vice President for Administration Prof. Rolando Baylon, and College Registrar Prof. Melissa L. Patco. Also in attendance to formalize the agreement were Management Information System Office Prof. Julius Codilan, Center for Student Services, Sports Culture and the Arts Prof. Raniel Sebastian F. Arcega, Disbursement Officer Prof. Rowena Del Rosario, and General Service Office-OIC Prof. Charito Concio. Meanwhile, Dr. Gloria R. Garcia is yet to sign next week for the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs.
The MOU aims to provide prioritized assistance for critical election tasks, such as the verification of student records, technical platform support for digital voting, and expedited document approvals. Under the agreement, the administration commits to exercising maximum flexibility and providing the necessary space and resources to protect the integrity of the filing and voting process. This partnership ensures that all election proceedings align with college policies while addressing the time-sensitive nature of the student governance cycle.
The signing was witnessed by key student leaders representing the essential working arms of the election process, including Nicole Sam Francisco of the Documentation Committee, Mark Gabriel Rabara from the Logistics Committee, and Ethel Tangente of the Campaign Committee. Their presence underscores the collective effort and institutional support driving the initiative. Through this formal commitment, the SSC and the college offices seek to maintain an open line of communication until the official proclamation and turnover of responsibilities to the newly elected officers in June 2026.
