BALABAG ELEMENTARY SCHOOL โ As part of its Linggo ng Kabataan Celebration, SK Balabag, partnership with Kabataang Samahan na Maglilingkod Hanggatโ Kailangan (KASAMAHAN), conducted the Build the Builder: A Capability and Parliamentary Training Program for Aspiring SK and Youth Leaders at Balabag Elementary School on August 22, 2026.
This program aims to help aspiring youth leaders acquire the knowledge and qualities needed to fulfill their role as leaders in their respective organizations and in the Sangguniang Kabataan.
The training featured two major parts. The first session, โFoundation Building: Understanding Leadership,โ was facilitated by Lance Philip G. Jover, who shared insights on the fundamentals of leadership and the qualities needed to become an effective youth leader.
The second session, โSK Essentials: Understanding the Basics,โ was facilitated by Former SK Chairperson Jeff Moises M. Hontoria, MPG, who discussed essential concepts concerning the Sangguniang Kabataan, providing participants with a deeper understanding of its role, responsibilities, and legal foundations.
The program was attended by representatives and members of various youth organizations in Brgy. Balabag, including the Balabag Volleyball Club, Monticello Villas Youth Club, and Pag-asa Youth Association of the Philippines (PYAP) โ Balabag, Pavia Chapter.
Through Build the Builder, SK Balabag continues to promote meaningful youth participation and leadership development, empowering young people to become more prepared and capable leaders in their organizations and Barangay.
