SGAFHO AND MSSD PROMOTE ORAL HEALTH AWARENESS DURING FAMILY DAY CELEBRATION

In coordination with the Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD), the SGA Field Health Office (SGAFHO) participated in the Family Day Celebration held at the New Covered Court, Barangay Batulawan, Malidegao.

As part of the celebration, Dr. Annaliza G. Alo of SGAFHO conducted a brief but meaningful Oral Health Awareness Orientation for both parents and children. The session highlighted the importance of proper oral hygiene, regular toothbrushing, and developing healthy hygiene practices at home.

A fluoride application was also provided to the children during the activity to help protect their teeth and promote better oral health.

As part of the initiative, each child and parent received a toothbrush, while the participating Child Development Centers (CDCs) received hand-pump toothpaste, tube toothpaste, and handwashing bar soap to support proper oral and personal hygiene among children.

The activity reflects the importance of inter-agency and community collaboration in promoting the health, well-being, and development of children. Through the combined efforts of SGAFHO and MSSD, families are empowered with practical knowledge and resources that contribute to healthier and safer communities.

MSSD JOINS FAMILY DAY CELEBRATION IN BATULAWAN AND NUNGUAN

The Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD) joined the Family Day Celebration of the four Child Development Centers (CDCs) in Barangay Batulawan and the Child Development Center of Barangay Nunguan.

The celebration brought together parents and children in a joyful day filled with bonding, laughter, and meaningful activities. Families showcased their talents through singing and Zumba dance competitions, while everyone also enjoyed various parlor games that strengthened camaraderie and family connection.

Beyond the fun and excitement, the activity highlighted the importance of family participation, quality time, and a nurturing environment for children. When families come together, children feel valued, supported, and loved—building stronger foundations for their growth and development.

COURTESY VISIT AND ENDORSEMENT OF SOCIAL WORK INTERNS | SEPTEMBER 23, 2026

The MSSD Malidegao conducted a Courtesy Visit and Endorsement of eight (8) Social Work Interns to the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Malidegao and Barangay Batulawan on September 23, 2026, as part of strengthening partnerships and support for the students’ field instruction and community-based learning.

Six (6) Social Work Interns from the CFCST Malidegao External Campus were endorsed for deployment to Barangay Fort Pikit, where they will undertake their Case Work and Group Work requirements. Meanwhile, two (2) Social Work Interns from Illana Bay Integrated Computer College Inc. were endorsed to Barangay Batulawan for their Case Work placement.

The courtesy visits were successfully conducted with the warm welcome and support of the host LGUs and barangay officials, who expressed their commitment to assist and support the interns throughout their fieldwork and future activities within the community.

The collaboration highlights the importance of strong partnerships among social work education, MSSD, and local communities in providing meaningful learning experiences while contributing to responsive and people-centered social services.

May this partnership continue to nurture future Registered Social Workers who are committed to serving communities with compassion, competence, integrity, and genuine concern for the welfare of the Bangsamoro.

UNLAD PAMILYANG BANGSAMORO PROGRAM PAYOUT

On August 26, 2026, the MSSD Malidegao Field Office successfully conducted the payout for beneficiaries of the Unlad Pamilyang Bangsamoro Program (UPBP) at the MSSD Malidegao Office.

A total of 31 beneficiaries received their assistance, consisting of:

₱15,000 Seed Capital – intended to help beneficiaries start or strengthen their livelihood activities and create sustainable sources of income.

₱9,000 Rice Subsidy – provided to help ease the beneficiaries’ daily food needs and support their families’ well-being.

This assistance is more than just financial support—it is an investment in the self-reliance, dignity, and economic empowerment of Bangsamoro families. Through the Unlad Pamilyang Bangsamoro Program, MSSD continues to provide opportunities that help families move toward a more stable and sustainable future.

OPERATIONAL REVIEW MEETING FOR MSSD SGA PARA-SOCIAL WORKERS

Strengthening Coordination, Performance, and Service Delivery

Yesterday, the MSSD SGA Para-Social Workers gathered for the Operational Review Meeting for MSSD SGA Para-Social Workers, an important activity aimed at strengthening coordination, reviewing program operations, and enhancing the delivery of social protection services to communities across the Special Geographic Area (SGA).

One of the key agenda items was the Performance Evaluation of Para-Social Workers, which is conducted at the end of every semester. The evaluation provides an opportunity to assess accomplishments, identify areas for improvement, recognize good practices, and ensure that Para-Social Workers continue to perform their responsibilities effectively and efficiently.

The activity was spearheaded by MSSD SGA Information Management Officer Muamar Andong Abdullah, together with the dedicated staff of MSSD Malidegao Field Office.

Through regular operational reviews and performance assessment, MSSD continues to promote accountability, teamwork, continuous improvement, and quality social welfare service delivery—ensuring that services reach those who need them most.

MSSD Malidegao Municipal Operations Office Successfully Concludes BAICS Assessment

The MSSD Internal Audit Team from the Regional Office successfully concluded their Baseline Assessment of the Internal Control System (BAICS) visit at the MSSD Malidegao Office today.

The assessment covered a comprehensive review of the office’s operations, program implementation, records management, supplies and inventory, and case folders covering both regular programs and nationally funded programs. The activity aimed to assess existing internal control mechanisms, identify strengths and areas for improvement, and ensure that office processes and program implementation remain aligned with established policies and standards.

Following the assessment, the Internal Audit Team shared their observations, recognizing positive practices while also identifying areas that require further strengthening. They likewise provided valuable recommendations to help improve our systems, procedures, documentation, and overall office operations.

The activity was conducted smoothly and successfully concluded this afternoon.

We sincerely appreciate the MSSD Internal Audit Team – Regional Office for their time, guidance, constructive feedback, and recommendations. Your assessment serves not only as a means of accountability but also as an opportunity for our office to continuously improve and strengthen the delivery of social protection services to the Bangsamoro people.

SUPPLEMENTARY FOOD PROGRAM | 16TH CYCLE 2026

Yesterday, August 25, 2026, the Malidegao Municipal Operations Office, in coordination with the MSSD Regional Office, successfully conducted the distribution of food supplies under the 16th Cycle of the Supplementary Food Program (SFP) for Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) learners in Malidegao, SGA, BARMM.

The activity was attended by the Project Development Officer and SFP Focal Person from the MSSD Regional Office, together with the dedicated staff of MSSD Malidegao Field Office, ensuring the proper delivery and distribution of food commodities to the 15 different Day Care Centers.

Each Day Care Center received essential food supplies, including rice, cooking oil, vegetables, fish, chicken, and eggs, which will be utilized in preparing nutritious meals for ECCD learners for 10 days.

This initiative aims to help provide our young learners with adequate and nutritious food, supporting their growth, development, and well-being while they participate in early childhood education.

Nutritious food today, healthier and brighter children tomorrow.
