| 𝐊–𝟏𝟐 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐞-𝐭𝐨-𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐒𝐮𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧

The Provincial Government of Abra suspends face-to-face classes in all public and private schools from Kindergarten to Senior High School on August 18, 2026 for the safety of learners and school personnel.

Schools are advised to implement Alternative Delivery Modes (ADM) in accordance with DepEd guidelines to ensure learning continuity.

This precautionary measure is also in view of PAGASA’s forecast of occasional to frequent rains over Abra due to the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat), with possible moderate to heavy rains that may cause flash floods or landslides.

The Provincial Government of Abra suspends onsite face-to-face classes in all public and private schools from Kindergarten to Senior High School on August 17, 2026, upon the recommendation of DepEd-Abra, to ensure the safety and well-being of learners and school personnel.

Schools are advised to implement Alternative Delivery Modes (ADM), when conditions permit, in accordance with DepEd guidelines.

This is pursuant to DepEd Order No. 022, s. 2024, particularly Section 1, Article I, which provides for the suspension of in-person classes during disasters and emergencies while ensuring learning continuity through appropriate alternative delivery modalities.

The Provincial Government of Abra announces the suspension of classes from Kindergarten to Senior High School in all public and private schools tomorrow, 12 August 2026.

College-level classes will proceed as scheduled.

Work at the Provincial Government of Abra will also resume.

For municipalities affected by the recent typhoon and the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat), the decision to suspend work is entrusted to the sound discretion of the respective Local Chief Executives, guided by prevailing conditions and the safety of their constituents and personnel.

DOST-PAGASA advises continued vigilance as rains may persist, with possible flooding and rain-induced landslides in vulnerable areas.

Meanwhile, work in government offices shall resume tomorrow. We urge everyone to remain cautious, especially when traveling.

Due to Tropical Cyclone Wind Signals No. 1 and No. 2 currently raised over the Province of Abra because of Tropical Storm , classes in Kindergarten to Grade 10 in all public and private schools throughout the Province of Abra are automatically suspended today, August 5, 2026, pursuant to existing DepEd guidelines on class suspensions during tropical cyclones.

Parents, learners, and school personnel are advised to remain vigilant and monitor official announcements and weather updates as Tropical Storm Maymay approaches Northern Luzon.

Under the supervision of our school head, Mr. Rolando D. Antonio, we successfully concluded our Nutrition Month celebration with the theme: "Sa Healthy Diet, Gawing Habit! For a Healthier Future", today.

It was a day filled with purpose, participation, and healthy choices as our learners, teachers, and parents came together to promote good nutrition and wellness.

Highlights of the Activities:
7:30 - 8:00 AM | 𝗧𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝘃𝗶𝘁𝘆
We started the morning by caring for our environment. Led by Scouter Michael Draculan together with the scouts, learners, teachers, and parents planted trees to symbolize growth — just like how proper nutrition helps our bodies and communities grow stronger and healthier.

Lunch Break | 𝗦𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴 𝗞𝗮𝗺𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝘀𝗮 𝗛𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗴-𝗸𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻
Our learners enjoyed a nutritious and balanced meal together. This activity reminded everyone of the importance of eating together as one family, eating healthy, locally available foods and practicing good eating habits at home and in school.

4:30 PM | 𝗭𝘂𝗺𝗯𝗮 𝗗𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲
We ended the day with energy and fun! Through Zumba, we advocated for regular exercise and an active lifestyle as key partners of good nutrition for a healthy body and mind.

A heartfelt thank you to our teachers, parents, learners, and especially to 𝗠𝗿. 𝗥𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘁 𝗧𝗮𝗺𝗮𝘆𝗼 who cooked our food. You truly made the celebration meaningful.

Let’s continue to choose healthy food, stay active, and nurture both our bodies and our environment — not just this month, but every day.
