Fathomed and Heard: The Youth Behind the Unspoken Words
The residential community of the DOH Treatment and Rehabilitation Center- Bataan paved the way to showcasing their exceptional talent in poetry writing in celebration of the International Youth Day 2026 yesterday, August 12, with the theme “Different Contexts, Common Aspirations.”

A total of 12 literary pieces were crafted with genuine stories of hope amid diverse agonizing backgrounds, with each reflecting united effort to achieve the objectives that advocate for youth’s freedom from oppression, discrimination, and drug use. Poetic works were prepared as a team and were then creatively presented by selected residents from each dormitory. As evaluated by a panel of judges, Dorm D championed the competition through a poetic narration of how a young individual who lives with a silver spoon continuously conquers the unforeseen boundaries of dreams and passion. His heartfelt performance stood out for providing a different perspective on this year’s theme.

Regardless of their personal circumstances, their voice indeed speaks for the truth— the youth continue to prove their ultimate role in shaping the nation’s future.
