A SPACE TO LEARN, A STEP TOWARD A BRIGHTER FUTURE
TIGAON, CAMARINES SUR | The newly constructed Temporary Learning Shelter (TLS) was formally turned over to San Rafael National High School, Tigaon, Camarines Sur, on August 11, 2026. The project was undertaken by the 565th Engineer Battalion, 51st Engineer Brigade, Philippine Army, in support of providing a safe and conducive learning environment for students.
The turn-over ceremony was graced by distinguished guests, including Col. Jooney Jay R. Busiños MNSA (INF) PA, Deputy Commander, 901st Infantry Brigade, 9th Infantry Division, Philippine Army, Ltc. Randy L. Eloreta INF (GSC) PA, Commanding Officer of 83rd IB, 9th ID, PA together with Hon. Eugene Adrian B. Fuentebella, Municipal Mayor of Tigaon, Camarines Sur, Hon. Christian S. Punto, Barangay Captain of San Rafael, Tigaon, Camarines Sur; and Dr. Robert S. Ablao, Principal III of San Rafael National High School and other barangay officials of Tigaon, Camarines Sur.
The ceremony featured heartfelt messages, the presentation of Certificates of Recognition to individuals and organizations who contributed to the successful realization of the project, and the ceremonial turnover and ribbon-cutting of the project marker.
More than a structure, the TLS stands as a testament to the transformative power of partnership, bayanihan, and collective action in creating meaningful opportunities for the community and ensuring that education continues despite challenges.
Through collaboration and service, the 565th Engineer Battalion remains committed to building not only structures, but also spaces where dreams can grow and futures can be built.
