In collaboration with DTI Pinamalayan and the Card-MRI Development Institute, Inc., Tech4ED Pinamalayan held a session on E-Commerce; Basic Graphic Design and Social Media Marketing with Canva on August 26, 2025, at Jamilla's Pension House, Zone II, Pinamalayan, Oriental Mindoro.

Mr. Miguelito V. Natal provided an informational introduction to E-Commerce and discussed tips on how to achieve business success. He also talked about the social media platforms that our entrepreneurs can use to leverage their products' marketability.

Ms. Kyla Nicole Nitural provided an insightful introduction to Canva, a free-to-use graphic design tool that can be conveniently and easily used for product branding and marketing. She discussed the basic fundamentals of good design and emphasized the importance of consistency and brand identity when presenting products. She also facilitated a short demonstration activity, allowing participants to be familiar with navigating Canva's features and be knowledgeable in creating their own promotional materials.

As this productive session came to an end, Tech4ED Pinamalayan warmly extended its gratitude to the collaborating agencies for this incredible opportunity to introduce technology as an important tool for entrepreneurship. This is another successful step we are committed to taking towards a more digitally empowered Pinamaleños and negosyantes.

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) through Negosyo Center Pinamalayan in partnership with CARD MRI, successfully conducted a Product Development and Enhancement Seminar to empower our local Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).

This initiative aims to strengthen MSMEs’ competitiveness through product innovation, packaging, labeling, and market alignment, ensuring that their products are not only market-ready but also sustainable for future growth.

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) acknowledges the concerns raised regarding Jollibee's Burger Blowout Promo.

We coordinated with Jollibee as soon as we received information and initiated an investigation. We have requested relevant documents, including the list of valid entries and the mechanics used, to ensure a thorough review.

Pending the outcome of the investigation, all further raffle promotions related to this matter are postponed. The public will be informed of any developments as they arise.

The DTI remains steadfast in protecting the interests of and ensuring fair and transparent consumers promotional activities.

Nagsagawa ang DTI sa pamamagitan ng Negosyo Center Pinamalayan sa pakikipagtulungan ng Bayan ng Pinamalayan Oriental Mindoro ng price and supply monitoring sa mga tindahan ng BNPCs (Basic Necessities and Prime Commodities). Napag-alaman sa ginawang monitoring na walang pagbabago sa presyo at nananatiling sapat ang suplay ng mga produkto na tatagal ng isang linggo. Ang mga nasabing establisyemento ay pinaalalahanan rin ukol sa mahigpit na pagpapatupad ng price freeze para sa mga pangunahing bilihin. 🛒✅

Dahil sa deklarasyon ng State of Calamity sa Oriental Mindoro, ang mga presyo ng mga pangunahing bilihin ay awtomatikong ipinapako (price freeze) sa kasalukuyang presyo sa loob ng panahon ng kalamidad (hindi hihigit sa 60 araw).

Ayon sa Price Act (RA 7581 as amended by RA 10623), saklaw ng price freeze ang mga sumusunod:
✅ De-latang isda at produktong dagat
✅ Processed milk (evaporated, condensed, powdered)
✅ Kape
✅ Sabong panlaba
✅ Kandila
✅ Tinapay (tasty, pandesal)
✅ Iodized na asin
✅ Instant noodles

| DTI holds the MSME Caravan to launch the region-wide e-commerce campaign of DTI MIMAROPA - DigitallyNation: Enterprise Digital Transformation Program - today, July 9, 2025 in Pinamalayan, Oriental Mindoro.

This is a collobarative initiative of DTI with the DICT Region IVB - Mimaropa, Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, Gcash, and the Municipal Government of Pinamalayan.

Joining the caravan to present and offer their programs and services are Small Business Corporation, Land of the Philippines, and Bread and Butter.

Gracing the opening ceremony is Vice Mayor Aristeo Baldos of Pinamalayan, PD Arnel Hutalla of DTI Oriental Mindoro, Area Director Atty. Ronaldo Bermudez of BSP Puerto Princesa Branch, and Rosemarie Abarquez, Gcash Head for Public Sector Luzon.

Meanwhile, Gcash and LBP conduct onboarding at the Pinamalayan Public Market for the Paleng-QR ph program.
