HIGHLIGHTS | 𝐍𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐀𝐋 𝐒𝐈𝐌𝐔𝐋𝐓𝐀𝐍𝐄𝐎𝐔𝐒 𝐒𝐂𝐇𝐎𝐎𝐋 𝐒𝐀𝐅𝐄𝐓𝐘 𝐃𝐑𝐈𝐋𝐋

A look back at the National Simultaneous School Safety Drill for Active Attack Incidents held on September 3, 2026 at Doña Asuncion Reyes Memorial Elementary School in Pinamalayan, Oriental Mindoro, and Santa Monica National High School in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan.

Under the leadership of FSSUPT ROY D QUISTO, DSC, Acting Regional Director, BFP MIMAROPA personnel joined partner agencies in carrying out Search and Rescue (SAR) and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) operations as part of the exercise to strengthen preparedness, coordination, and response during critical incidents.

Under the leadership of FSSUPT ROY D QUISTO, DSC, Acting Regional Director, the Bureau of Fire Protection MIMAROPA joins the nationwide observance of the National Simultaneous School Safety Drill held at Doña Asuncion Reyes Memorial Elementary School, in coordination with PCPT MARVIN A HERNANDO, Deputy Chief of Police, Pinamalayan Municipal Police Station together with Pinamalayan Fire Station personnel, School Disaster Risk Management (SDRRM) Coordinator and Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (BDRRM) representative. As part of the activity, a simulated shooting incident drill was conducted as a preparedness exercise to enhance the school community’s awareness and the participating responders’ ability to coordinate and respond appropriately during a critical incident.

The drill highlighted the importance of proper coordination, preparedness, and teamwork in keeping students, teachers, and school personnel safe during emergencies. Through regular safety drills, BFP MIMAROPA and its partner agencies help schools become more prepared and confident in responding calmly and effectively when emergencies arise.

A New Uniform. A New Chapter of Service.

BFP MIMAROPA, under the leadership of FSSUPT ROY D QUISTO, DSC, Acting Regional Director, officially welcomed the 113 Newly Absorbed Fire Officer 1, Class 2026-01, during their oath-taking ceremony held at the Punzalan Gymnasium, Pinamalayan, Oriental Mindoro.

This simultaneous nationwide activity was organized by the BFP National Headquarters. The oath-taking stands as a significant milestone marking the beginning of their service in the BFP. It signifies not only the assumption of duty but also their pledge of commitment, responsibility, and dedication to the noble mission of protecting lives and properties.

Ngayong National Heroes Day, ating ginugunita at pinaparangalan ang tapang, sakripisyo, at walang sawang paglilingkod ng mga bayaning humubog sa ating bansa. Kasama rin nating binibigyang-pugay ang magigiting na kawani ng Bureau of Fire Protection, na patuloy na naglilingkod at nagpoprotekta sa ating mga komunidad.

Nawa’y magsilbing inspirasyon sa atin ang kanilang halimbawa at ipaalala na ang tunay na kabayanihan ay makikita sa bawat gawa ng tapang, malasakit, at tapat na paglilingkod sa kapwa.
