Galdoc Turns Over Key of Responsibility at Pinukpuk Vocational School

PINUKPUK, Kalinga -A significant leadership transition took place at Pinukpuk Vocational School on May 11, 2026, as outgoing School Principal III Fernando S. Galdoc formally turned over the key of responsibility to incoming Principal I Evangeline P. Abbacan during a turnover ceremony attended by school officials, stakeholders, and community leaders.

After serving the institution for two years and seven months, Galdoc expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the faculty, staff, learners, and stakeholders of the school for their unwavering support and cooperation throughout his tenure.

“Thank you PVS for your unending support and for working with me to realize the theme ‘Leading with vision, serving with purpose,” Galdoc said during his farewell message.

Mercy Grace L. Dugayon, Administrative Officer IV stood with confidence for the message of gratitude saying – “Sir you are also a build, build, build type of a leader, someone who not only create structures but build people. You believe in promoting and developing your employees, encouraging us to do better and be better. In many ways, you reminded us of the great leaders we had before-yet you added your own unique touch: Transparency, accessibility and a generous heart in sharing blessings”.

The highlight of the event was the giving of tokens of gratitude to the former school head Mr. Galdoc and the presentation of every department as the collection of his past leadership graced with a ballad song.

The installation of the new school head was led by Southern Pinukpuk Public Schools District Supervisor Carolina L. Baggay, who conveyed confidence in the leadership capabilities of Abbacan.
Baggay described Abbacan as a competent and committed school head, assuring everyone that Pinukpuk Vocational School would remain in good hands under her leadership.

Meanwhile, the barangay captain commended Galdoc’s effective leadership, noting the positive developments and progress achieved by the school during his administration.

Representing Mayor Jimmy Dasayon, Municipal Information Officer Hilaria Balagso lauded the school for its continuous efforts in molding the youth of Pinukpuk into responsible and productive individuals.

Balagso also encouraged unity and collaboration among the school community as the institution moves forward under new leadership.
“A leader leads depending on the need of the time, so you have to collaborate as one because you are leveling up,” she emphasized during her message.

The ceremony was graced by school heads from Southern Pinukpuk, representatives from the Municipal Bureau of Fire Protection, learners, stakeholders, and the teaching and non-teaching staff of Pinukpuk Vocational School.

Atty. Lemmao Graces PVS 51st Graduation Ceremony

PINUKPUK, KALINGA - A total of 156 graduates of Pinukpuk Vocational School (PVS) were honored during the institution’s 51st graduation ceremony held on March 31, 2026, at the PVS Hall, highlighted by an inspiring message from guest speaker Atty. Charnette C. Lemmao.

In her keynote message, Atty. Lemmao shared powerful insights drawn from her personal experiences, emphasizing that failure is not an endpoint but a vital part of success. She encouraged graduates to embrace challenges, learn from setbacks, and remain steadfast in pursuing their dreams.

“Success is built on perseverance. It is in our failures that we discover our strength and redefine our purpose,” she conveyed, leaving graduates motivated as they step into a new chapter of their lives.

The ceremony was formally opened with a dignified procession led by school officials, faculty members, graduates, and their parents. The opening segment reflected pride and accomplishment, as participants walked confidently under the leadership of School Principal III, Mr. Fernando S. Galdoc.

Adding to the significance of the event, Bernardo L. Ganotice, SGOD Chief of the Schools Division of Kalinga, officially confirmed the graduates. In his message, he encouraged the students to place their trust in God as they strive for greater achievements and climb the ladder of success.

One of the most anticipated moments of the ceremony was the awarding of academic and special honors. Graduates were recognized for their excellence and dedication across various disciplines, drawing applause and admiration from parents, teachers, and stakeholders present at the event.

Delivering the valedictory address, Gracian Marvell T. Nepomuceno of the Humanities and Social Sciences strand reminded her fellow graduates that graduation marks not an end, but a beginning.

“And as I look around today, I see survivors, artists, dreamers, futures leaders and more than that I see hope for ourselves, for our families, for our communities and for our country, and yes the world outside these gates are bigger, harder, louder but we’re ready because PVS taught us not just only to read, count but rather how to rise,” she said.

Meanwhile, Azareel M. Atiwag, who ranked second among the graduates, led the Pledge of Loyalty, reaffirming the graduates’ commitment to their alma mater and their pursuit of excellence in their future endeavors.

Despite the warm temperature inside the venue, the ceremony was filled with smiles, pride, and heartfelt gratitude shared among graduates and their families, making the event even more memorable.

This year’s graduation carried the theme, “Filipino Graduates: Prepared to Lead with Competence and Character,” reflecting the school’s commitment to producing skilled, value-driven individuals ready to contribute to society.

Pinukpuk Vocational School Holds Moving-Up and Recognition Ceremony

PINUKPUK, KALINGA — Pinukpuk Vocational School successfully held its Moving-Up and Recognition Ceremony on March 30, 2026, anchored on the theme “Filipino Graduates: Prepared to Lead with Competence and Character.” The event gathered students, parents, faculty members, and distinguished guests to celebrate the academic achievements and milestones of learners across grade levels.

The program commenced with the Welcome Remarks of Mr. Fernando S. Galdoc, Principal III, who underscored the value of perseverance, discipline, and strong moral character among students as they advance in their educational journey. This was followed by the Acknowledgement of Guests delivered by Roda S. Linggayo, recognizing the presence of visitors and stakeholders who showed their support for the occasion.

Brendalyn C. Banawa, Head Teacher VI led the Presentation of Candidates, highlighting the hard work and dedication of the completers. Principal Galdoc then proceeded with the Certification of Completers, formally affirming that the students have met the academic requirements for completion.

The Introduction of the Guest of Honor and Speaker was delivered by Harold L. Baggay. In his Inspirational Message, Guest Speaker Vince Christen Mauvry Lasam Mabalot encouraged the students to carry forward the values of competence and character, reminding them to remain steadfast, responsible, and goal-oriented as they pursue their dreams.

One of the highlights of the ceremony was the awarding of honors and special recognitions. Karolyn Fe A. Cambi, Master Teacher II, led the awarding of honors and special awards to the completers, followed by the distribution of certificates facilitated by Glace Idyll D. Tandingan, Roda S. Linggayo, and Dioneta T. Contes. Students from Grades 7, 8, 9, and 11 were also recognized for their academic excellence and outstanding performance.

Aldanna Zeephora M. Abowag, a With High Honor awardee, delivered the Message from the Completers. In her speech, she expressed gratitude to teachers, parents, and classmates, while reflecting on the shared experiences and challenges that shaped their journey.

The ceremony concluded with the Closing Remarks and Announcements by Head Teacher VI Brendalyn C. Banawa, who congratulated the students and encouraged them to continue striving for excellence in their future endeavors.

The event was effectively hosted by Masters of Ceremony Yvoh Jibb Daluping and Gracian Marvelle Nepomuceno, whose coordination ensured the smooth flow of the program.

Yesterday, March 26, 2026, the learners of Pinukpuk Vocational School gathered for a meaningful Baccalaureate Mass—a moment filled with joy, celebration, and deep appreciation for the achievements and milestones they have reached. It was not only a recognition of academic success, but also a reminder of faith, perseverance, and purpose.

Our heartfelt gratitude to Rev. Fr. Justin Kayembre Mufata, CICM, our Mission Rector, for leading the Holy Mass and for imparting his blessings to all our learners and stakeholders. Your words have inspired hope and strengthened our spirits as we move forward to new beginnings.

HUMSS Students of PVS Successfully Complete Oral Research Defense

PINUKPUK, Kalinga — Students from the Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMSS) strand of Pinukpuk Vocational School successfully concluded their oral research defense on March 16, 2026, marking a significant academic milestone for the Senior High School learners.

The activity was conducted under the supervision of Inquiries, Investigation, and Immersion (III) teacher Febie D. Gunayon, who guided the students throughout the research process and preparation for the defense.

Among the presenters, Gracian Marvell Nepomuceno was recognized as the Best Presenter, demonstrating exceptional clarity, confidence, and mastery of the research topic. He was followed by Angel Fate Wacangan and Hanna Kim Lumanog, who also delivered notable presentations during the defense.

The Best Research Paper award was given to the group composed of Rhea Ver Balawag, Thea Balawag, Jay Kevin Balais, and Arhon Anapen for their study titled “Preserving Cultural Heritage: Analyzing the Effectiveness of Teaching Historical Significance on Contemporary Filipino Culture at Pinukpuk Vocational School.” The research was selected based on the quality and completeness of the submitted manuscript.

Serving as panellists during the oral defense were Luzviminda P. Lingbawan, Fe A. Bal-ut, and Michelle Uday, who evaluated the presentations and provided constructive feedback. Lingbawan also recognized the best presenter from each research group and offered critical insights to help improve the students’ research papers. Bal-ut shared recommendations following the presentations, while Uday provided additional feedback to guide the students in refining their final research submissions.

In her message to the students, Senior High School Coordinator Ritchellyn Wigan commended the learners for their dedication and hard work.

“Congratulations to all of you for conducting this activity. This oral defense is a testament that you love learning,” Wigan said.

School Principal Fernando S. Galdoc, also expressed his appreciation to the students and teachers for their efforts in successfully completing the research defense, emphasizing the importance of research in developing critical thinking and academic excellence among Senior High School learners.

A total of seven research groups successfully presented their studies during the event, showcasing their research skills, analytical thinking, and commitment to academic excellence.

The successful completion of the oral research defense highlights the continued efforts of Pinukpuk Vocational School in strengthening research culture among its Senior High School students.
