In line with the upcoming Mayor’s Cup 2026, the Kabataan ng Malidong invites all aspiring players to showcase their skills and represent our barangay!

📅 Date: February 15, 2026 (Sunday)
⏰ Time: 3:00 PM
📍 Venue: Brgy. Malidong Pavilion

• 16–20 Years Old Division

We encourage all participants to come prepared and ready to play. Please wear your jersey and basketball shoes during the tryouts.

𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦 | The Malidong Basketball Tournament, held from November 15 to December 10, 2025, at Brgy. Malidong, was a resounding success, bringing together the youth and fostering a sense of community and sportsmanship. This event aimed to promote camaraderie, teamwork, and healthy competition among the youth, while showcasing their skills and passion for basketball.

We are grateful to Congressman Adrian Salceda for his generous support, which greatly contributed to the tournament's success. Our heartfelt thanks also go to the Brgy. Council, led by Brgy. Captain Romeo Tolosa, for their unwavering support, as well as to the officiating officials, committees, volunteers, players, and the SK Council for their tireless efforts in making this event a memorable one. The tournament was truly a celebration of sportsmanship, teamwork, and community spirit.

On Christmas Day - December 25, 2025, the Sangguniang Kabataan ng Barangay Malidong spread joy to the children of our community through a gift-giving activity, embodying the true spirit of Christmas and the month of giving. With smiles on their faces, the kids received their gifts, and it was heartwarming to see them feel loved and special.

We're deeply grateful to SK Federation President Cedrick Apuli and Municipal Councilor Mark Lyndon Ariate for their generosity and support in making this initiative a success. Their kindness will surely make a lasting impact on the lives of our young beneficiaries.

𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦 | Sitio Cagbatano's Fiesta Celebration! Last November 11-12, 2025, Sitio Cagbatano came together to celebrate unity, faith, and community spirit. The Sangguniang Kabataan ng Malidong brought the excitement with activities like Laro ng Lahi and Agawan ng Biik, showcasing Filipino culture and teamwork.

It was more than just fun and games - our activities promoted camaraderie, sportsmanship, and appreciation for our heritage. We're grateful for the opportunity to celebrate and strengthen our community bonds.

A huge THANK YOU to our amazing volunteers who worked tirelessly to make this event a success! To Malidong BCA, your support means a lot to us! To all the active participants, your energy and enthusiasm were the highlight of our celebration!

The Sangguniang Kabataan of Brgy Malidong actively participated in the Seminar/Workshop organized by the DILG Pio Duran headed by MLGOO Joseph B. Rañeses, in coordination with the Local Youth Development Office (LYDO) led by Adiel Biando, held on December 12–13, 2025 at Charisma Hotel, Guinobatan, Albay. It was conducted as part of the continuing training of SK officials in compliance with Republic Act No. 10742 (Chapter V, Section 27), as amended by Republic Act No. 11768.

The orientation enhanced participants' knowledge of local legislative processes, SK session protocols, and the development of ABYIP and accomplishment reports through a combination of lectures and workshops, equipping SK officials with the skills to effectively perform their duties and fostering meaningful SK engagement and leadership development.
