Empowering MSMEs for resilience and sustainability! 💼🌱

Last April 16, 2026, the Negosyo Center Pio Duran successfully conducted a Business Continuity Planning (BCP) Seminar, bringing together MSMEs engaged in food processing, wearables and homestyles, cacao, and other priority sectors.

Beyond the seminar, participants also took part in a coaching session where they received guidance in crafting and enhancing their own Business Continuity Plans—ensuring that their strategies are practical, relevant, and tailored to their respective enterprises.

The activity aimed to equip entrepreneurs with the knowledge and tools needed to prepare for, respond to, and recover from unexpected disruptions—ensuring the continuity and growth of their businesses in an ever-changing environment.

Mahalagang malaman ang pagkakaiba ng Basic Necessities at Prime Commodities.

Ayon sa RA 7581 o Price Act, ang Basic Necessities (BN) ay mga produktong kailangan para mabuhay at manatiling malusog, lalo na sa panahon ng sakuna o krisis. Samantala, ang Prime Commodities (PC) ay hindi pangunahing pangangailangan pero mahalaga pa rin sa pang-araw-araw na pamumuhay, ayon sa Price Act.

DTI Albay Conducts Digital Marketing Seminar for MSMEs in Pio Duran

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Albay, through the Negosyo Center Pio Duran, successfully conducted the seminar “Growing Your Business Online: A Digital Marketing Seminar with Coaching Session” on March 11, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Negosyo Center Pio Duran.

The activity gathered micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) from the processed food, wearables and homestyles, and health and wellness sectors in the municipality. Participants were oriented on the importance of digital marketing and how online platforms can help expand market reach and improve business growth.

Mr. Noli Lucila Jr. served as the resource speaker and shared practical strategies on maximizing digital platforms for business promotion, customer engagement, and brand visibility.

Following the seminar, ten MSMEs participated in a one-on-one coaching session where they received personalized guidance in addressing their digital marketing challenges and strengthening their online presence.

Through initiatives such as this, DTI Albay continues to assist local MSMEs in enhancing their digital capabilities and improving their competitiveness in the increasingly digital marketplace.
