🌊 Braving the waves to bring government services closer to our island communities. 🇵🇭

On August 4, 2026, despite the rough sea conditions, the DOLE Masbate Provincial Office, together with the PESO Placer, Masbate Team, successfully traveled to Brgy. Guin-awayan, Placer, Masbate to conduct the TUPAD Orientation for the 55 beneficiaries of the 1-kilometer Floating Pathway Project.

The beneficiaries will be employed under the 30-day TUPAD (Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers) Program, providing temporary employment while contributing to the construction of a vital infrastructure that will greatly improve accessibility and mobility within the island barangay.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Brgy. Captain Dante Racaza and Brgy. Secretary Mary Ann Tomarce for their invaluable support and assistance in ensuring the successful conduct of the orientation.

No waves are too rough, and no destination is too far when public service calls. Together, we remain committed to bringing meaningful opportunities and government programs to every community, especially those in our island barangays.

📍 HAPPENING NOW | AIRTIP Orientation

The AIRTIP Orientation conducted by the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) DMW Region V is currently underway at the Training Center, LGU Placer, Masbate.

The activity is being attended by Barangay Captains, Barangay Secretaries, Law Enforcers, and representatives from the Local Government Unit of Placer, Masbate. The orientation aims to strengthen community awareness and collaboration in preventing illegal recruitment and human trafficking while promoting safe, legal, and informed overseas employment.

Together, we continue to build a safer and more informed community for every aspiring Overseas Filipino Worker.

𝗜𝗻 𝗣𝗵𝗼𝘁𝗼𝘀 | The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Bicol recognized six outstanding Public Employment Service Offices (PESOs) in the region during the 2026 Regional Search for Best PESO (SBP) Awards held on Thursday at Casablanca Hotel, Legazpi City, highlighting exemplary performance in delivering employment facilitation services at the grassroots level.

The annual search aims to promote full, decent, and productive employment by honoring exemplary PESOs in the provincial, city, municipal, and institutional categories. It also fosters innovation, healthy competition, and stronger collaboration between DOLE and local government units (LGUs) in expanding access to quality employment services.

This year's awardees underwent a rigorous 100-point evaluation based on the delivery of core PESO services (75 points), implementation of DOLE programs (15 points), previous employment-related awards (5 points), and organizational involvement (5 points).
