There are gazillions of concerns and tasks that made one forget the date. Thank you Mayong for finding the time to adjust the September astronomical calendar to our time zone despite your superbusy schedule. Happy organic and biodynamic gardening/farming, make sure you are doing Public Interest Farming: environmentally sound and socially responsible!

At last , Virgo Yong finished the adjustment of all entries for August despite his super busy schedule. We are all beating deadlines galore but we never forget to dance with the cosmic rhythms of Mother Nature. May we be spared of calamities this August sea*on of hurricanes and storms, landslides and floods. Let us hope that we are not too late in caring for our Earth Mother because as we sow, we reap. Please don't forget to send good thoughts, prayers for the health and wellness of our "astronomer" so that he can continue his services to Earth Mother and humanity. Enjoy gardening ,enjoy farming!

The last time we checked we were in #2, now we are on top,. For the only one with majority Christian population in all of Asia at 91.5%(78% of Catholics, 13% Protestants combined 2.6% are Iglesia ni Kristo) , what an irony! Indeed, the song aptly describes the country, "Banal na a*o, santong kabayo, natatawa ako ..."

One crop. One disease. One bad sea*on. That is the entire architecture of modern food.

Here is what the comparison actually shows:

GENETIC DIVERSITY: monoculture runs on a single genetic profile; polyculture stacks hundreds of cultivars so no one failure is total.

PEST PRESSURE: one host plant feeds an entire pest population; mixed plantings break reproduction cycles before they explode.

SOIL LIFE: herbicides and tillage collapse fungal networks in years; diverse roots feed mycorrhizal webs all sea*on.

CROP FAILURE RISK: in 2012 six in**ed lines made up 94% of US corn; intercropped systems cut failure rates to a fraction of that.

CHEMICAL INPUT: as soil biology collapses, inputs rise to compensate; polyculture systems self-regulate because the biology is still intact.

YIELD OVER TIME: monoculture yield curves drop after a few years of depleted soil; diverse plots hold or climb across a decade.

This knowledge did not disappear on its own. It was displaced by an economics that measured yield per acre in a single sea*on and called it progress. The farmer who rotated eight crops and kept livestock in the margins was told that was inefficiency. The person who said otherwise was not invited back.

What replaced it demands inputs every year because the system cannot sustain itself. That is not a flaw. That is the business model. A field that feeds itself is a field that does not buy anything.

The 1970 Southern Corn Leaf Blight took 15% of the US corn crop in one sea*on because every field was genetically identical. Diversity is not sentiment. It is the only structure that does not shatter when one thing goes wrong.

Healthy soils build resilient farms.

Join us as organic farmers, agri-advocates, agricultural stakeholders, and innovators come together for a meaningful Kapehan Session focused on soil health, farm resiliency, precision agriculture, and sustainable farming practices.

As climate challenges continue to affect agricultural productivity, understanding the condition of our soil has never been more important. Through this gathering, we aim to empower farmers with practical knowledge and innovative tools that support data-driven decisions, optimize farm inputs, improve productivity, and strengthen resilience against climate-related risks.

DANCING WITH THE RHYTHMS OF THE COSMOS

cosmos/หˆkรคzmษ™s/
The word cosmos originates from the ancient Greek noun ฮบฯŒฯƒฮผฮฟฯ‚ (kรณsmos), which literally translates to "order," "good order," or "harmonious arrangement". Order vs. Chaos: In ancient Greek, kรณsmos was the direct antithesis of chaos (which represented formlessness and disarray). It implied a universe that is structured, rational, and beautiful.

Creation logically implies creatures and Creator. The whole of creation is Cosmic and to help us BE CO-CREATORS and not destroyers of the cosmos or the order of the creation, here is the astronomical agricultural calendar for July 2026. Happy gardening: sowing, planting, tending, harvesting and enjoying the diverse palate offered by Nature.

ERRATUM: We didn't notice the minor typo on the year before posting; it should be June 2026 instead of 2025, otherwise everything else is in order. The corrected version is now up. Thank you very much!

As the need for dialysis machines seems to be on the rise, along with the cases of degenerative illnesses, we canโ€™t help but see a correlation between morbidity and the various toxins found in the water, air, the soil, and in our food. Various scientific studies have added more pieces to the bigger picture over the years, again and again finding high levels of pesticide residues in our drinking water, in the air we breathe, in surface water bodies, and in various food items like cereals & grains, vegetables, and fruits.
The time to shift to organic production systems and methods is urgent now more than ever. Applying biodynamic methods offer a better chance at healing the Earth, which in turn helps bring about a healthier people. So here is your Biodynamic Astronomical Calendar to time your planting/sowing, harvest, and pest management with the rhythms of the Cosmos.

Here is the calendar of Cosmic rhythms of subtle energies penetrating the Earth from space for your guide. However, the Earth's climate and your location's microclimate impact your gardening and food production, so try to learn ways to attract ,capture and condense the cosmic dew to bring water to the land. There are ways to harvest water from air in these drying time, er, trying times. Find one. By the way, educate yourselves about geoengineering and its impact on climate by checking out the documentary film , The Dimming at geoengineeringwatch.org https://www.facebook.com/geoengineeringwatch.org and search the HAARP that angels don't play. Things are not random. The plot thickens.
