June 11, 2026 - Technical Orientation on Solid Waste Management, Climate Change, and Environmental Law Enforcement Procedures
The Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Unit (MENRU) conducted Technical Orientation on Solid Waste Management, Climate Change, and Environmental Law Enforcement Procedures to all Resource Collectors/segregators, newly-hired SWM Enforcers, and Bantay Kalikasan members at Municipal Sanitary Landfill and Ecological Park, Brgy. San Antonio, Polanco, in celebration of the World Environmental Month.

May 25 - June 17, 2026 - Groundwater Resource Assessment
The Mines and Geosciences Bureau, Region IX-Department of Environment and Natural Resources (MGB IX-DENR) conducted 1:50,000-scale Groundwater Resource Assessment in coordination with the LGU-Polanco thru the Environmental Management Unit for the whole Municipality of Polanco. The study aims to assess, in a more detailed perspective, the availability and reliability of groundwater sources in the municipality.

Ang EMU ubos sa Office of the MPDC, mitambong sa Unang Semester nga Barangay Assembly alang sa CY 2026 sa Barangay Obay, diin gihisgutan ang mga mahinungdanong hilisgutan, ilabi na ang implementasyon ug pagdumala sa solid waste sulod sa barangay.

Ang City Environment and Natural Resources (City ENRO) sa Dipolog City inubanan sa Environmental Management Unit (EMU) sa Polanco, nagpahigayon ug ocular visit ug benchmarking sa Polanco Municipal Sanitary Landfill ug Ecological Park nga nahimutang sa Brgy. San Antonio ning maong munisipyo.

Ang Environmental Management Unit, ubos sa Office of the MPDC, mitambong sa usa ka espesyal nga miting kauban ang mga miyembro sa Victoria Country Homes Homeowners Association ug ang konseho sa Brgy. Obay nga girepresentahan ni Kapitan Manginsay, diin gihisgutan ang mga importante nga punto kabahin sa Solid Waste Management sa ilang mga tagsa-tagsa ka mga lugar.

February 03, 2026 - Symposium on Environmental Issues
Ang Environmental Management Unit, ubos sa Opisina sa MPDC, nagpahigayon og usa ka symposium nga nagtutok sa Climate Change, Solid Waste Management, ug Wildlife Conservation sa Brgy. Isis ug Brgy. Villahermosa. Ang kalihokan nagtumong sa pagpalig-on sa kahibalo sa publiko, pagpalambo sa aktibong partisipasyon sa mga programa, ug paghatag og bili sa komunidad sa pagpanalipod ug pagpadayon sa lokal na kinaiyahan.
