The Municipality of Polomolok has successfully completed its 𝐂𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐫 𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫 2026 𝐋𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐞 𝐀𝐧𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐞𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞, 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐨, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐠𝐨𝐚𝐭𝐬, benefiting livestock raisers across the municipality. The initiative was spearheaded by the 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐕𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐂𝐨𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐭𝐨 in partnership with the 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐠𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭 (𝐎𝐌𝐀𝐠) – 𝐏𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐦𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐤 as part of the continuing efforts to strengthen animal health, improve livestock productivity, and support the livelihood of local farmers.

The municipality-wide deworming campaign provided free deworming services to large animals in various barangays, protecting them from internal parasites that can negatively affect growth, reproduction, and overall productivity. Through the collaborative efforts of the Provincial Veterinary Office, the Office of the Municipal Agriculturist headed by 𝐒𝐚𝐦𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐂. 𝐃𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐨𝐚𝐧, 𝐑𝐀𝐠𝐫, barangay officials, and livestock raisers, the program achieved its target implementation, ensuring healthier livestock and promoting preventive veterinary care throughout the municipality.

The successful completion of the 2026 Large Animal Deworming Program contributes to increased livestock productivity, reduced parasite-related diseases, and improved income opportunities for livestock raisers. More importantly, it supports the municipality's goal of strengthening food security and promoting a sustainable and resilient livestock industry through proactive animal health interventions.

The Office of the Municipal Agriculturist extends its heartfelt gratitude to the Provincial Veterinary Office of South Cotabato for its invaluable partnership, to Mayor Bernie D. Palencia for his continued support of agricultural and livestock development programs, to the barangay officials, and to all livestock raisers who actively participated in the campaign. This collective effort reflects the shared commitment of all stakeholders to building a healthier, more productive, and resilient livestock sector in the Municipality of Polomolok.

In line with its continuing commitment to support the fisheries sector, the 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐠𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭 (𝐎𝐌𝐀𝐠)–𝐏𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐦𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐤 successfully conducted the 𝐓𝐢𝐥𝐚𝐩𝐢𝐚 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐇𝐢𝐭𝐨 𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐅𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐬 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐛𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 at the Municipal Nursery, Brgy. Magsaysay, Polomolok, South Cotabato.

The activity benefited fisherfolks from various barangays across the municipality, providing them with tilapia and hito fingerlings along with feeds to help boost fish production, enhance food security, and create sustainable livelihood opportunities for their families.

The distribution initiative was carried out under the leadership of Municipal Agriculturist 𝐒𝐚𝐦𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐂. 𝐃𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐨𝐚𝐧, 𝐑𝐀𝐠𝐫, in support of the agricultural and fisheries development agenda of Mayor Bernie D. Palencia. Also present during the activity was 𝐌𝐫. 𝐌𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐚ñ𝐞𝐫, representative of Committee on Agriculture Chairperson and Municipal Councilor 𝐁𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐁𝐞𝐫𝐭 𝐁𝐚𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐬, 𝐉𝐫., who conveyed the local government's continued support for programs that uplift the livelihood of fisherfolk communities.

The activity was facilitated by 𝐑𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐲 𝐒. 𝐀𝐠𝐮𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐝𝐨, OMAg's Inland Fishery Coordinator, who underscored the importance of responsible fish culture practices and the effective management of fisheries resources to ensure sustainable production and long-term benefits for the recipients.

Through initiatives such as this, the Municipality of Polomolok continues to empower its fisherfolk sector by providing timely interventions and resources that promote productivity, self-sufficiency, and economic resilience.

Conducted by the 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐠𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐑𝐅𝐎 𝐗𝐈𝐈 – 𝐇𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐥 𝐅𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐲 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 (𝐃𝐀 𝐑𝐅𝐎𝐗𝐈𝐈-𝐇𝐅𝐈𝐃𝐏), the activity equipped farmer-beneficiaries with the necessary knowledge and skills on the proper operation, maintenance, and management of egg incubators to ensure their effective and sustainable utilization.

Representing the Talaenged Farmers Association were 𝐀𝐲-𝐀𝐲 𝐒. 𝐒𝐚𝐦𝐛𝐢𝐚𝐥, 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭, and 𝐇𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐦 𝐒. 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐲𝐨𝐠, 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐲, who actively participated in the training and officially received the two units of egg incubators on behalf of their organization.

The turnover of the egg incubators supports the Municipality of Polomolok's continuing efforts to strengthen agricultural livelihood opportunities under the leadership of Mayor Bernie D. Palencia and through the guidance of Municipal Agriculturist 𝐒𝐚𝐦𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐂. 𝐃𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐨𝐚𝐧, 𝐑𝐀𝐠𝐫. The project is expected to improve poultry production capacity, increase opportunities for income generation, and contribute to food security within the Talaenged community.

𝐃𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐨𝐚𝐧, 𝐑𝐀𝐠𝐫, successfully conducted the 𝐁𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐮𝐫𝐧-𝐎𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐲 of 𝐭𝐰𝐨 (2) 𝐧𝐞𝐰𝐥𝐲 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐟𝐚𝐫𝐦 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬 amounting to ₱7𝐌, marking another significant step in enhancing agricultural support services for the municipality's farming communities.

This milestone was made possible through the unwavering support of Mayor Bernie D. Palencia, whose administration remains committed to advancing the agricultural sector, and Municipal Councilor Billy Bert Baitus Jr., whose continued advocacy for farmer-centered programs and agricultural development has greatly contributed to the realization of this initiative.

A coffee farmer from Polomolok, South Cotabato has earned national recognition after placing among the top performers in a prestigious coffee competition, underscoring the rising quality and competitiveness of the SOCCSKSARGEN coffee industry.

𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐨 𝐉𝐨𝐞𝐲 𝐓𝐚𝐜𝐚𝐧 secured 𝐬𝐢𝐱𝐭𝐡 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝐨𝐛𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚 𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐨𝐫𝐲 of the 2026 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐀𝐬𝐢𝐚𝐧 (𝐒𝐄𝐀) 𝐆𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 – 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐑𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝, which concluded on May 31. His entry achieved a remarkable cup score of 85.96 following a comprehensive evaluation process that included green bean assessment, roasting, and cupping.

According to local agriculture officials, Tacan’s achievement highlights the capability of Region XII coffee growers to compete in specialty coffee markets through sustained efforts in quality enhancement and innovation. The annual event also serves as a platform for promoting Southeast Asian coffee and strengthening its presence in the global market.
