The Population Services Division of LGU Pontevedra, Capiz, in partnership with the Barangay Ilaya Council, BSPOs, and BHWs, successfully conducted a household cleaning and geotagging activity within the area of responsibility of Barangay Ilaya.

The activity was spearheaded by the Population Office, in collaboration with the Barangay Council, BSPOs, and BHWs, together with the immersion students from CAPSU Pontevedra as part of their community service under the BEED 2nd Year College program.

The Population Services Division extends its heartfelt appreciation to the Barangay Council of Ilaya, headed by Hon. Delly Hansen, Barangay Captain and LIGA President, as well as to the BSPOs and BHWs. We also extend our gratitude to the CAPSU BEED 2nd Year students and the people of Barangay Ilaya for their active participation and support.

Under the administration of Mayor Henry D. Tumlos and Municipal Administrator Joenifer Tumlos, we continue to deliver quality and responsive services to the people of Pontevedra.

Abelarde, officially signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA). This agreement serves as a guiding document for the implementation of collaborative activities and programs aimed at supporting families and communities.

The Population Services Division of the Local Government Unit of Pontevedra, Capiz successfully conducted the Pre-Marriage Orientation and Counseling (PMOC) Wednesday Session at the PMOC Room of the PSD Office. During the session, couples participated in orientation and counseling as part of their preparation for married life.

This session aims to provide couples with awareness, guidance, and education on the responsibilities, roles, and obligations of marriage, helping them build a strong foundation for a responsible and harmonious family life.

The session was facilitated by MPO Designate Jocelyn Bolina, PMOC Focal Person Jona Dejapa, and PMO Member Jonieden Tumlos.

The Population Services Division, in partnership with the Pantawid Pamilya Pontevedra Operations Office, successfully conducted a Youth Development Session at the Barangay Lantangan Covered Gym. The activity was participated in by representatives from Brgy. Binuntucan, Hipona, Intongcan, Yatingan, and Lantangan.

The YDS featured two important topics: Adolescent Pregnancy Awareness, discussed by AHD Coordinator Joshua Balonso, and Mental Health Awareness, presented by Joana Marie Dangan. The participants listened attentively, gaining valuable knowledge and awareness to guide them in making informed decisions.

The Population Services Division extends its heartfelt appreciation to the participating barangays, parent leaders, young participants, and the Pantawid Pamilya Pilipino Program Operations Office of Pontevedra for their active support and participation.

The Population Services Division of LGU Pontevedra, Capiz actively joined the celebration of the 22nd Women with Disabilities Day, an activity spearheaded by the Persons with Disabilities Affairs Office (PDAO) under the leadership of PDAO Head Rennie Patanao.

The activity was attended by women with disabilities (PWDs), representatives from Pontevedra MPS, ILRC of Pontevedra Elementary School, the Barangay Council of Malag-it, and PSD personnel, showing a strong spirit of collaboration and inclusivity among various sectors.

Following the opening program, participants took part in a meaningful tree planting activity, promoting environmental awareness and sustainability while strengthening community engagement.

The Population Services Division extends its heartfelt appreciation to PDAO Pontevedra and all participating government agencies and stakeholders for their active involvement and continued support in advocating for the welfare, empowerment, and inclusion of women with disabilities.
