Personnel from the Bureau of Fire Protection visited Minang Elementary School and conducted an orientation regarding the School Emergency Response Team (SERT) and the School Emergency Response Plan (SERP).
During the session, the fire personnel discussed the importance of establishing an organized emergency response team in the school to ensure the safety and protection of learners, teachers, and school personnel during emergencies such as fire, earthquakes, and other disasters. They also explained the roles and responsibilities of each member of the School Emergency Response Team and the proper procedures to follow during emergency situations.
The activity helped strengthen the awareness and preparedness of the teaching staff in responding effectively to possible emergencies within the school. The participants were also given the opportunity to ask questions during the open forum to clarify important points discussed during the orientation.
As a gesture of support and appreciation, the personnel from the Bureau of Fire Protection also provided snacks to the teaching staff.
The activity concluded with a photo opportunity together with the fire personnel and the teaching staff of Minang Elementary School, marking the successful conduct of the orientation.
