EO NO. 24 SERIES OF 2025
AN EXECUTIVE ORDER RAISING THE RED ALERT STATUS IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF PRESIDENT ROXAS, CAPIZ IN RELATION TO TROPICAL CYCLONE "UWAN"
WHEREAS, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) has issued weather advisories indicating that Tropical Cyclone "UWAN" is expected to bring heavy rains and strong winds that may cause flooding, landslides, and other hazards in the Province of Capiz, including the Municipality of President Roxas;
WHEREAS, the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (MDRRMC) has recommended raising the alert level to RED ALERT STATUS to ensure full readiness and response measures of all concerned offices and barangays;
WHEREAS, there is a need to heighten preparedness and mobilize all emergency response units, equipment, and resources to safeguard lives and properties within the municipality;
NOW THEREFORE, I, RECELISTE L. ESCOLIN, Municipal Mayor of President Roxas, Capiz, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby order the following:
1. The Municipality of President Roxas is hereby placed under RED ALERT STATUS effective immediately until the weather condition normalizes.
2. All members of the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (MDRRMC) are directed to report to their respective posts and ensure 24-hour monitoring and coordination with the Capiz Provincial DRRMO and PAGASA.
3. All Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Committees (BDRRMCs) shall likewise activate their respective emergency operations centers and implement necessary precautionary measures within their jurisdictions.
4. All concerned offices and agencies are directed to prepare their personnel, equipment, and logistics for possible evacuation, rescue, and relief operations.
5. The MDRRMO shall disseminate accurate and timely advisories to keep the public informed of updates related to Tropical Cyclone "UWAN."
