09 July 2026 | BFP Sorsogon Province conducts audit of the targets and accomplishments for the 1st and 2nd Quarter of the Oplan Ligtas na Pamayanan (OLP) Masterplan

Under the supervision of Acting Municipal Fire Marshal FINSP OWEN G FUNTANARES, Prieto Diaz Fire Station welcomed the audit team from the BFP Sorsogon Provincial Office for the audit of the targets and accomplishments for the First and Second Quarters of the Oplan Ligtas na Pamayanan (OLP) Masterplan.

The activity involved reviewing the station’s accomplishments and the activities conducted under the OLP Masterplan during the first half of the year. It also provided an opportunity to discuss accomplishments, identify areas that need improvement and further strengthen the implementation of community fire safety and preparedness programs.

Under the leadership of Acting Municipal Fire Marshal FINSP OWEN G FUNTANARES, personnel of Prieto Diaz Fire Station conducted a Refresher Exercise on Fire Truck Operation to further strengthen their operational readiness and emergency response capabilities.

The activity emphasized the proper use, handling and safety protocols in operating the fire truck, enabling personnel to enhance their practical skills and readiness in responding to fire incidents and other emergencies.

Under the leadership of FINSP OWEN G FUNTANARES, Acting Municipal Fire Marshal, Prieto Diaz Fire Station conducted an inspection and inventory of its service vehicles and firefighting equipment in compliance with the directive of the Bureau of Fire Protection Region V on the Operational Readiness of BFP Services and Equipment.

The activity covered the checking of fire extinguishers installed in all service vehicles, ambulances and fire trucks, as well as the inspection of essential firefighting and emergency response equipment to ensure their readiness and serviceability.

08 July 2026 | PATIENT TRANSPORT

Under the leadership of FINSP OWEN G FUNTANARES, Acting Municipal Fire Marshal, Prieto Diaz Fire Station immediately responded to a request for patient transport involving a male resident of Brgy. Diamante, Prieto Diaz, Sorsogon.

Upon arrival, the responding EMS personnel conducted an initial assessment and checked the patient’s vital signs. After ensuring that the patient was stable for transport, he was safely transported to Prieto Diaz Medicare Hospital for further medical evaluation and management.

07 July 2026 | OPLAN LIGTAS NA PAMAYANAN CAMPAIGN

Under the leadership of FINSP OWEN G FUNTANARES, Acting Municipal Fire Marshal, Prieto Diaz Fire Station successfully conducted the School Emergency Response Plan (SERP) activity and facilitated the organization of the School Emergency Response Team (SERT) at Prieto Diaz Central School as part of the Oplan Ligtas na Pamayanan (OLP) Campaign.

The activity strengthened the readiness and awareness of school personnel by promoting proper emergency planning, evacuation procedures, coordination and response strategies to help create a safer learning environment for all.
