In support of TESDA's commitment to bringing quality Technical Vocational Education and Training closer to communities, the TESDA Agusan del Sur Provincial Office successfully convened the Community Training and Employment Coordinator (CTEC) and TVET Focal Meeting on June 30, 2026, at the PTC-ADS TM Room, GDOP Government Center, Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur.
The meeting, led by Provincial Director Novielita A. Dispo, MDM, MSBA, together with Provincial PESO Acting Manager Abigail Maandig, EnP, gathered LGU CTECs and TVET Focal Persons to discuss key programs and strategies for strengthening community-based TVET implementation across the province.
A major highlight of the activity was the orientation on Train Lokal, a priority initiative of TESDA Secretary Jose Francisco "Kiko" B. Benitez's Training to Trabaho agenda. The initiative aims to expand access to demand-driven, community-based skills training that responds to local industry needs and creates greater opportunities for employment, entrepreneurship, and sustainable livelihoods.
Participants also received updates on the 2026 Work Plan Accomplishments, TESDA Skills Passport, CTEC Information System (CIS), TESDA Institutional Awards, and the Registration and Accreditation of LGU-Run Training and Assessment Centers.
The activity strengthened the partnership between TESDA and local government units, reaffirming their shared commitment to delivering accessible, relevant, and inclusive TVET programs that empower communities and contribute to local economic.
