CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro β€” A Provincial Most Wanted Person facing charges for violation of Republic Act No. 7610, otherwise known as the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act, was arrested during a manhunt operation conducted in Barangay Marangas, Bataraza, Palawan on June 4, 2026.

The operation was carried out by personnel of the Bataraza Municipal Police Station (MPS) as lead unit, in coordination with the Palawan Provincial Intelligence Unit, 3rd Platoon of the 1st Palawan Provincial Mobile Force Company, 401st Mobile Company of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion MIMAROPA, Provincial Intelligence Team Palawan of RIU 4B, and the Palawan Highway Patrol Team.

The accused, a 43-year-old resident of Bataraza, Palawan and the Rank No. 8 Provincial Most Wanted Person, was arrested by virtue of a Warrant of Arrest dated June 2, 2026, issued by Hon. Panfilo Intud Sala Jr., Acting Presiding Judge of the Regional Trial Court, Branch 165, Brooke’s Point, Palawan, for violation of Section 5(b) of Republic Act No. 7610 in relation to Section 3 of Republic Act No. 11648, docketed under Criminal Case Nos. 26-02624-BAT and 26-02625-BAT, with recommended bail of β‚±200,000.00 for each case.

Following his arrest, the accused was placed under the custody of Bataraza MPS for documentation and proper disposition.

PRO MIMAROPA Acting Regional Director PBGEN Christopher R. Dela Cruz commended the operating units for the successful implementation of the warrant and the coordinated efforts that led to the arrest of the accused.

β€œThis accomplishment reflects the dedication of our personnel in ensuring that individuals facing criminal charges are located and presented before the courts,” PBGEN Dela Cruz said.

The successful operation highlights the value of intelligence-driven policing and inter-agency cooperation in ensuring the swift arrest of wanted persons, in line with PRO MIMAROPA’s F.I.G.H.T. C.R.I.M.E.S. framework and the Chief PNP’s Five Focused Agenda.
