‎KAMPANYA SA MENTAL HEALTH SA PUERTO PRINCESA PALALAKASIN

‎Mas paiigtingin pa ang kampanya para sa mental health sa lungsod matapos makipagpulong ang Philippine Mental Health Association (PMHA) Palawan Chapter kay Mayor Lucilo R. Bayron noong Abril 15.
‎
‎Pinangunahan ni Rev. Fr. Eugene S. Elivera, kasama si Executive Manager Joy Labtis-Jebula at iba pang mental health professionals, ang courtesy call na naglalayong palakasin ang ugnayan sa lokal na pamahalaan.
‎
‎Diretsahan ang mensahe ng PMHA: panahon na para gawing normal ang paghingi ng tulong.
‎
‎“Ina-advocate po talaga namin ang mental health awareness, lalo na sa kabataan para matulungan nila ang kapwa nila kabataan,” pahayag ni Fr. Elivera.
‎
‎Hindi rin nagpatumpik-tumpik si Mayor Bayron. Hinikayat niya ang PMHA na makipag-ugnayan sa City Youth Development Office (CYDO) upang mas mapalawak ang abot ng programa, lalo na sa mga estudyante at young leaders.
‎
‎Dagdag pa ng alkalde, bukas ang mga Mini City Halls sa iba’t ibang bahagi ng lungsod bilang venue ng mental health activities, isang hakbang para maabot kahit ang malalayong komunidad.
‎
‎Sa ngayon, tuluy-tuloy ang serbisyo ng PMHA Palawan sa City Health Medical Complex, Lunes hanggang Biyernes, 9:00 AM hanggang 4:00 PM. Kabilang sa kanilang inaalok ang psychiatric consultation, counseling, at mental health education para sa walk-in man o naka-schedule na kliyente.

‎Malinaw ang layunin: basagin ang stigma at hikayatin ang mas maraming Palaweño na magpakonsulta.
‎
‎Samantala, inaasahang lalagdaan sa Abril 23 ang isang Memorandum of Understanding sa pagitan ng PMHA Palawan at City Health Office, hudyat ng mas pinalakas at organisadong pagtutulungan para sa mental health sa lungsod.
‎
‎Sa gitna ng tumataas na kaso ng stress at mental health concerns, pinapatingkad ng inisyatibang ito na hindi ka nag-iisa, at may handang tumulong.

The City Mayor’s Office–PDAO proudly joined and participated in the Contingency Action Planning for Oil and Fuel Supply Disruption and Risk Assessment Workshop on Economic Crisis, organized by the City Government of Puerto Princesa City through the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office on April 14, 2026, at Citystate Asturias Hotel.

This initiative highlights the city’s commitment to proactive planning, resilience, and safeguarding the community against potential economic and supply disruptions.

The Integrated Bar of the Philippines Palawan Chapter, led by Atty. Patrick P. Tan, President, and Atty. Romar V. Miranda, IBP Palawan Gender and Development Focal Person, collaborated with the City Government of Puerto Princesa and PDAO to successfully implement the Babaylan Caravan.

This community outreach initiative brought free legal assistance, information, and essential services to women and marginalized groups.

The City Mayor's Office-PDAO also distributed free assistive devices to citizens in need.
