The public is advised to remain vigilant against phishing emails impersonating ๐‹๐š๐ง๐ ๐๐š๐ง๐ค ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐๐ก๐ข๐ฅ๐ข๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ข๐ง๐ž๐ฌ. These messages often come from โ€œ๐ข๐›๐ฉ๐ฆ๐จ๐›๐ข๐ฅ๐ž๐š๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ฌโ€and use subjects such as โ€œ๐‚๐ฅ๐ข๐ž๐ง๐ญ ๐Œ๐จ๐›๐ข๐ฅ๐ž ๐๐ฎ๐ฆ๐›๐ž๐ซ ๐•๐ž๐ซ๐ข๐Ÿ๐ข๐œ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐‘๐ž๐ช๐ฎ๐ž๐ฌ๐ญ.โ€They ask recipients to verify their mobile number and enter a One Time Password (OTP).

There are already reported victims, with government employeesโ€”especially teachersโ€”being commonly targeted. Once an OTP is disclosed, scammers can gain full access to bank accounts and perform unauthorized transactions and deductions.
Important reminder from DICT: Legitimate financial institutions will never request OTPs, PINs, or passwords via email, links, or unsolicited messages.

What to do:
