FLORIDABLANCA, PAMPANGA LGU CONDUCTS BENCHMARKING VISIT IN PUERTO PRINCESA

A delegation from Floridablanca, Pampanga composed of 30 barangay captains and 20 barangay treasurers and secretaries visited the City Government of Puerto Princesa today, April 23, 2026, for a benchmarking activity.

City Administrator Atty. Arnel Pedrosa and City Tourism Officer Demetrio “Toto” Alvior led the reception and shared key programs and initiatives of the city.

The delegation expressed interest in learning more about Puerto Princesa’s eco-tourism efforts and best practices in governance, particularly in delivering efficient public services.

During the visit, the City Tourism Office also presented the highlights of Puerto Princesa, showcasing its top attractions and eco-tourism initiatives that continue to drive the city’s tourism industry.

The benchmarking activity aims to help the Floridablanca LGU adapt effective programs that can be implemented in their respective communities.

The delegation likewise expressed appreciation for the warm welcome and the opportunity to learn from the experiences of Puerto Princesa.

SUPORTA PARA SA MGA YOUNG ENTREPRENEURS

Nakipagpulong kay Mayor Lucilo R. Bayron ang mga kinatawan mula sa Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship ng Palawan State University, sa ilalim ng Entrepreneurship Program, na pinangunahan nina College of Business and Accountancy OIC-Dean Mary Grace A. Masdo at BSE Department Chair Theresa L. Manga, ngayong Abril 22, 2026 sa City Mayor’s Office.

Ipinresenta nila ang kanilang pag-aaral na nakatuon sa pagpapalakas ng suporta sa mga student entrepreneurs, partikular sa pamamagitan ng mas maayos na koordinasyon at mga programang makatutulong sa kanilang Business Implementation Program at sa pagkumpleto ng kanilang kurso.

Kaugnay nito, humiling ang grupo ng suporta ng Pamahalaang Lungsod para sa posibleng pagbuo ng memorandum of agreement sa pagitan ng Lungsod at PSU-BSE na layong maisama ang mga young entrepreneurs sa mga aktibidad at programa ng lungsod bilang plataporma sa pagpapalago ng kanilang mga negosyo.

Nauna nang sinuportahan ni Mayor Bayron ang ilang student entrepreneurs na nabigyan ng pagkakataong makalahok sa mga city events tulad ng Puerto Princesa Night Market, at inaasahang mapapalawak pa ito upang mas marami pang estudyante ang matulungan.

Muling iginiit ni Mayor Bayron ang kanyang suporta sa mga programang nagpapalakas sa kabataan at lokal na ekonomiya.

MAYOR BAYRON SUPPORTS SOTOGRANDE’S CATALINA LAKE NIGHT MARKET LAUNCH

Cluster Operations Manager Karine Lumbo and Assistant HR Manager Rodelette Dela Torre of Sotogrande Palawan Hotel paid a courtesy call to Mayor Lucilo R. Bayron on April 22, 2026, at the City Mayor’s Office.

During the meeting, the Sotogrande team presented details of their upcoming Catalina Lake Night Market, set on May 22, 2026, at Catalina Lake Residences in Barangay Tagburos.

Mayor Bayron highlighted the value of private sector-led activities that create additional platforms for local vendors while contributing to the city’s growing tourism offerings.

The team also coordinated with the City Tourism Office and other relevant departments to ensure that the event complies with local requirements and is aligned with existing city programs.

Mayor Bayron welcomed the initiative and reiterated the City Government’s support for efforts that generate opportunities for MSMEs and enhance the city’s emerging nighttime economy.
