26 January 2026 – The Coast Guard District Palawan, through its Marine Environmental Protection - Enforcement and Response Group (MEP-ERG) Palawan, successfully conducted MEP orientation to student interns of Full Bright College.
The orientation was held at Light Station Tidepole, Barangay Bagong Silang, Puerto Princesa City.
The activities included a coastal clean-up, MARPOL (Marine Pollution) equipment familiarization, and informative lectures focused on environmental conservation and the reduction of single-use plastics.
This engagement forms part of the seven-day PCG Work Immersion Program for Full Bright College Criminology students. It reflects the enduring partnership between the Coast Guard District Palawan and higher education institutions in the province—working together to foster environmental responsibility among future professionals.

The Marine Environmental Protection Enforcement and Response Group – Palawan proudly recognizes the achievements of PO1 Ryan Mahanlud, who graduated from the Non-Officer Advance Course last 12 December 2025, and PO3 Remus B Bulacan Jr PCG , who completed the Marine Environmental Protection Functional Course Class 45-2025 from 19 September- 19 December 2025, ranking 9 out of 27 students.

Echeverria, PCG, during his Sentimental visit on 22 January 2026 at the CGDPAL Headquarters, Puerto Princesa City, Palawan, which also included a visit to MEPERG–Palawan at the Tidepole Light Station, where he was briefed on marine environmental protection initiatives—an occasion that honored his distinguished leadership, unwavering commitment to service, and lasting contributions to the Philippine Coast Guard.

The Marine Environmental Protection Enforcement and Response Group – Palawan proudly extends its warmest congratulations to our Commander, Marine Environmental Protection Enforcement and Response Group- Palawan, LTJG ARJEN LLOYD H MAGTALAS PCG for successfully graduating from the Coast Guard Station Commanders Course (CGSCC) Class 19-2025, convened on 16 September 2025 at the Headquarters, Coast Guard District Palawan, ranked Top 4 out of 43 students.

MEP ERG PAL showed up in full force for International Coastal Clean-up Day.

Look: Coast Guard District Palawan through its Marine Environmental Protection Enforcement and Response Group (MEP ERG) Palawan and its MEP Units in the municipalities of the province took an active engagement in the nationwide wide conduct of Coastal Clean-up in observance of International Coastal Clean-up Day 2025.

The MEP personnel, alongside other PCG units, local government offices, community volunteers, and environmental organizations, engaged in a coordinated effort to remove marine debris and plastic waste from our coastal areas.

Through this collective action from various community entities and government services, it reaffirms that there is still hope for preservation of our marine environment.
