A total of 405 applicants took the entrance examination for the Communication, Navigation, Surveillance Systems Officer Course Batch 46 (CNSSO 46) today, 30 May 2026, at four CAAP testing centers across the country (Manila, Puerto Princesa, Mactan, and Clark testing centers).
Applicants who pass the examination today will undergo the free training program at the Civil Aviation Training Center (CATC) in Pasay City.
The application for the course, which will run for eight months, was opened for qualified participants on 9 March 2026.
This extensive course is a specialized assessment designed to evaluate CNSSO candidates for technical and operational roles in aviation communication, navigation, and surveillance systems. It measures candidates' knowledge of electronics, electrical and mechanical systems, communications, aviation systems, air traffic support technologies, and the analytical skills required to ensure safe and efficient air navigation services.
The CNSSO Course, alongside the Airfield Lighting and Power Technicians (ALPT) Course and the Comprehensive Air Traffic Service (CATS) Course, are part of CATCโs core training programs aligned with the International Civil Aviation Organizationโs (ICAO) Next Generation of Aviation Professionals (NGAP) initiative. Through these programs, CAAP continues to build a skilled and future-ready workforce that will help sustain a safe and reliable Philippine civil aviation.
