Asenso PUGO! 💚

NARTDI, Pugo officials advance talks on beekeeping livelihood support

The National Apiculture Research, Training and Development Institute (NARTDI) and officials of the Local Government Unit of Pugo, La Union, explored technical partnership on beekeeping livelihood support during a visit to the institute on June 16, 2026.

Pugo Municipal Mayor Hon. Geralyn Garcia Bulao led the delegation, together with officials from the Municipal Agriculture Office, Municipal Planning and Development Office, Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office, and the barangay captain of Maoasoas Norte.

NARTDI Executive Director Dr. Venelyn L. Bersamira received the delegation. She discussed the Institute’s role in providing research-based training, technical assistance, and extension support to communities that seek to develop apiculture as a livelihood and agricultural enterprise.
