March 12, 2026: Pulupandan Joins Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill🚨🚨🚨

The Municipality of Pulupandan joined the nation in the conduct of the Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill earlier today to strengthen community preparedness for earthquakes. The municipality-wide drill was spearheaded by the Pulupandan MDRRMO in partnership with the BFP, PNP, and PCG, who served as evaluators. Government offices, schools, and members of the public actively participated in the activity.

During the exercise, participants practiced the standard earthquake safety procedure “Duck, Cover, and Hold,” an essential protective action during strong ground shaking. After the drill, a feedback session was conducted to assess the performance of participants and identify areas for improvement to further enhance earthquake preparedness in the municipality.

Situated within the Pacific Ring of Fire, the Philippines is highly vulnerable to earthquakes. Activities such as the Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill play a vital role in increasing public awareness, improving response capabilities, and building a safer and more resilient community.
