In support of UP's energy conservation efforts, the Main Library and University Archives will adopt an alternative work arrangement, designating Mondays as a common Work-From-Home (WFH) day, with no onsite operations.
Effective 13 April 2026
· Mondays: Online services only.
· Tuesdays–Saturdays: Regular library operations.
Appointments for non-UP clients will be accommodated on Fridays. Should a holiday occur on a Friday, the service day will shift to Monday.

Due to ongoing building electrical repairs, onsite services at the Main Library are temporarily relocated to the CSSP Reading Room at Palma Hall on 14 and 18-20 February 2026.

However, the Main Library will maintain regular operations at the Environmental and Energy Engineering Bldg. on 16 February 2026.

Please be advised of the following during the relocation period:
- The Environmental and Energy Engineering Bldg. will be temporarily closed to clients.
- All transactions and services will be accommodated at the CSSP Reading Room.
- Clients are REQUIRED to schedule an appointment via Aklat-Taan (aklat-taan.upd.edu.ph) or email prior to visiting to ensure efficient service and reduced waiting time. See our library directory here: .
- Requested books for borrowing may be claimed on the next available service day.

Our poster presented at FilCon 2025 was recognized as the 3rd Best Poster. 🥳

📣 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗣𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 (𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱)

Once again, the librarians of the University Library Diliman have demonstrated their excellence through outstanding research poster presentations this October at the PAARL Filipiniana Conference 2025 (FILCON 2025) and the 9th National Archives Congress (NAC). A total of nine (9) research posters were presented by our librarians: five (5) at FILCON and four (4) at NAC.

At the 9th NAC, Martian A. Jinio, Ms. Michelle Anne S. de Leon, and Mr. Chito N. Angeles won First and Second Best Poster Awards for their works titled:
“Scalable Digital Preservation Workflows: Best Practices from the UPD Library”
“Standardizing File Names for Digital Preservation: Best Practices from the UPD Library”

Meanwhile, at FILCON 2025, our librarians also received top recognitions:

“Archiving Local Knowledge: UP Diliman’s Luther Parker Collection in Microfilm” by Yedda Marynel A. Arce, Chelsea Anne Q. Bonifacio, and Elaine Barbara M. Cruz – Second Best Poster
“IPP and IPN: Strengthening Library Access to Philippine Periodicals” by Katherine S. Nazareth, Elaine Barbara M. Cruz, Nicole R. Zulueta, Reslyn G. Espino, and Emar G. Pascual – Third Best Poster
