Under the steadfast leadership of JCSUPT PAULINO H MORENO JR, Director for Human Resource Development (DHRD), through Monitoring and Evaluation Division of DHRD led by JINSP TIANTING KEM ENCABO, Acting Chief, M&E Division, conducted a monitoring activity re Facility Preparedness and Admission Procedure at the National Jail Management and Penology Training Institute (NJMPTI) Main Campus.

Working in close coordination with NJMPTI Director JSSUPT RENANTE B RUBIO, MPM, this initiative thoroughly evaluated facility preparedness and admission procedures ahead of the Face-to-Face classes for JOBC Class 2026-01 and JOAC Class 2026-01. The monitoring activity covers the readiness of the barracks, classroom setups, medical services and the efficiency of the registration and document verification process.

By proactively streamlining intake procedures and ensuring all physical facilities meet the highest standards, we guarantee a safe and disciplined training environment from Day 1.

Represented by JCSUPT ISABELO V CARTIN JR., our dedicated BJMP players joined the ceremonial parade, standing shoulder-to-shoulder with other government agencies in the spirit of camaraderie and sportsmanship.

More than just a game, this event champions inter-agency cooperation and supports the El Proveedores Foundation Inc. Building esprit de corps while helping those in need! 🤝

🏆 COORDINATING CONFERENCE FOR THE 1ST PSC-PUSO NATIONAL MULTI-SPORTS COMPETITION

Under the leadership of JDIR EFREN A NEMEÑO, DPA, TLPE, Chief, Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), and JCSUPT PAULINO H MORENO JR., Director for Human Resource Development (DHRD), the Jail Bureau continues to actively support initiatives that promote sportsmanship, discipline, teamwork, camaraderie, and unity among the country’s uniformed services.

In line with this, JINSP CARLO D DACURO, together with JO1 Genard T Sonido of the Directorate for Human Resource Development (DHRD), represented the Bureau during the Coordinating Conference for the 1st PSC-PUSO National Multi-Sports Competition held on September 3, 2026, at the OSPS Conference Room, Camp General Emilio Aguinaldo, Quezon City.

The conference was spearheaded by COL RUBEN B GUINOLBAY, PA, Chief, Office of the Special Service, AFP, and was attended by representatives from various participating military and law enforcement agencies, including the PAF, PCG, BFP, BuCor, PDEA, MMDA, PA, PN, PNP, NBI, BI, BOC, and BJMP.

The 1st PSC-PUSO National Multi-Sports Competition is scheduled to officially open on November 15, 2026, at the Philsports Complex (ULTRA), Pasig City, with President Ferdinand “Bongbong” R. Marcos Jr. expected to serve as the Guest of Honor and Speaker (GOHAS).

During the conference, the General Provisions of the 1st PSC-PUSO National Multi-Sports Competition were presented and discussed, together with the various sports disciplines to be featured, namely: Arnis, Basketball, Cheer Dance Competition, Obstacle Course Race, Golf, Karate, Boxing, Softball, Judo, Target Shooting, Sepak Takraw, Badminton, Taekwondo, Tug-of-War, Volleyball, and Athletics.

The Bureau’s participation in this significant sporting event underscores its continued commitment to promoting sportsmanship, discipline, teamwork, camaraderie, and strengthened cooperation among the country’s military, uniformed, and law enforcement agencies.

📢 BJMP–PRC CPD ACCREDITATION

INVESTING IN OUR PEOPLE. EMPOWERING OUR PERSONNEL. STRENGTHENING THE BJMP.

We are proud to announce that the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) has officially been granted Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Accreditation by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) – CPD Council of Criminology.

This milestone was achieved under the leadership of JDIR EFREN A NEMEÑO, DPA, TLPE, Chief, BJMP, through JCSUPT PAULINO H MORENO JR., Director for Human Resource Development. The accreditation was granted on July 9, 2026, and will remain valid until July 8, 2029.

Through this accreditation, the BJMP continues to strengthen its commitment to the continuous professional development of its personnel, providing meaningful opportunities to enhance their knowledge, skills, competencies, and professional excellence.

More than an accreditation, this milestone reflects the BJMP’s commitment to empowering its personnel, fostering lifelong learning, and building a competent, professional, and service-oriented workforce dedicated to delivering quality jail management and services.

BJMP sa UNTV Executive Face-Off 2026 🏀

Noong ika-3 ng Agosto 2026, dumalo sina JSSUPT LORENZO V REYES at JSINSP JOHN ROMEL B MAGDALE, bilang mga kinatawan ng Kawanihan ng Pamamahala sa Piitan at Penolohiya, para sa UNTV Executive Face-Off 2026 at ginanap sa Pork Barrel Grill and Restaurant, 92 Kalayaan Avenue, Diliman, Quezon City.

Ang naturang pagpupulong ay dinaluhan ng mga kinatawan mula sa iba't ibang sangay, tanggapan, at ahensiya ng pamahalaan na kalahok sa nasabing palaro. Kabilang dito ang Office of the President, Senate of the Philippines, Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), Commission on Elections (COMELEC), Department of Agriculture (DA), Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), Department of Justice (DOJ), Government Service Insurance System (GSIS), Judiciary, National Housing Authority (NHA), Office of the Ombudsman, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth), Philippine National Police (PNP), Social Security System (SSS), at BJMP.

Pinangunahan ni UNTV CUP COMMISSIONNER FORTUNATO “ATOY” CO JR., ang pagpupulong na naglalayong talakayin, ipaliwanag, at ilatag ang Official Team & Player Eligibility Protocol para sa UNTV Executive Face-Off 2026. Nakatuon ang talakayan sa mga pamantayan at kinakailangang kwalipikasyon ng mga koponan at manlalaro, gayundin sa mga patakaran at proseso na dapat sundin ng bawat ahensya.

Sa kabuuan, ang paglahok ng iba't ibang sangay, tanggapan, at ahensiya ng pamahalaan sa UNTV Executive Face-Off 2026 ay nagsisilbing daan upang mapalakas ang pagkakaisa, sportsmanship, camaraderie, at ugnayan ng mga kawani mula sa iba't ibang sangay ng pamahalaan. Higit pa sa kompetisyon, nagbibigay ito ng pagkakataon upang maitaguyod ang teamwork, disiplina, malusog na pamumuhay, at positibong samahan, na makatutulong sa pagbuo ng mas matatag at produktibong mga lingkod bayan.

Dumalo at naghatid ng mensahe ng suporta bilang kinatawan ng Kawanihan ng Pamamahala sa Piitan at Penolohiya si JCSUPT PAULINO H MORENO JR, Direktor para sa Pagpapaunlad ng Yamang Tao, sa ginanap na Joint Graduation Ceremony ng Cyber Orientation Course (COC) 2026-05 at Cyber Intermediate Course (CIC) 2026-05 noong ika-17 ng Agosto 2026, sa PPSC Head Office, Heroes Hall, Old Balara, Quezon City, kung saan may 11 na BJMP personnel ang kabilang sa mga nagsipagtapos sa nasabing mga kurso.

Naging Panauhing Pandangal sa nasabing seremonya si PLTGEN RICARDO F. DE LEON (Ret.), DPSSG, PhD, Director General ng National Intelligence Coordinating Agency (NICA), na nagbigay ng makabuluhang mensahe hinggil sa kahalagahan ng patuloy na pagpapalakas ng kakayahan sa cybersecurity.

Dinaluhan ang seremonya ng mga kinatawan mula sa iba’t ibang ahensiya, kabilang ang Philippine National Police (PNP), Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Bureau of Corrections (BuCor), Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), National Intelligence Coordinating Agency (NICA), Bureau of Immigration (BI) at iba pang ahensya.

Binigyang-diin sa mahalagang okasyong ito ang mahalagang papel ng National Cyber Training Institute (NCTI) sa pagsusulong ng edukasyon sa cybersecurity upang epektibong matugunan ang mga umuusbong na banta at hamon sa cyberspace.

In a continuing show of support for public safety trainings, JDIR EFREN A NEMEÑO, DPA, TLPE, Chief, BJMP, thru JCSUPT PAULINO H MORENO JR, Director for Human Resource Development, attended the 33rd Founding Anniversary Celebration of the National Jail Management and Penology Training Institute (NJMPTI) on July 29, 2026, at the NJMPTI Social Hall, Camp BGen Vicente Lim, Calamba City, Laguna.

Carrying the theme,“𝟑𝟑 𝙔𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝘽𝙪𝙞𝙡𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙀𝙭𝙘𝙚𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚, 𝙄𝙣𝙨𝙥𝙞𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙇𝙚𝙖𝙙𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙥, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙏𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙨𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙋𝙪𝙗𝙡𝙞𝙘 𝙎𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙞𝙘𝙚,”the celebration highlighted NJMPTI’s enduring commitment to developing competent, principled, and service-oriented jail officers and personnel through quality education and training. The event also recognized the invaluable contributions of individuals and partner institutions whose dedication has strengthened the Institute’s mission over the past three decades.

The Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), through the Directorate for Human Resource Development (DHRD) headed by JCSUPT PAULINO H MORENO JR, successfully hosted the Informational Program Visit (IPV) of the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Human Resource Management Officers Basic Course (HRMOBC) Class 05-2026 led by COMMO CHRISTINE PAULINE C BERGAÑO, at the BJMP National Headquarters Main Conference Hall.

The activity provided the participating student officers with valuable insights into BJMP’s human resource management systems, competency-based learning and development programs, leadership initiatives, and organizational best practices. It also served as a platform for knowledge-sharing and inter-agency collaboration, reinforcing the commitment of both organizations to continuous professional development and excellence in public service.

Together, we continue to build stronger institutions through collaboration, learning, and innovation.
