Pormal na nilagdaan noong Mayo 18, 2026 ang Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) na naglalayong magbukas ng mas inklusibo at makabuluhang oportunidad sa hanapbuhay para sa sektor ng mga nakatatanda sa lungsod.

Patunay ito na sa Quezon City, may lugar at pagkakataon para sa lahat anuman ang edad. ❤️

Hindi lang 'to basta training—we are transforming our GIP beneficiaries into ultimate Resilience Interns! 🎒🌱 Sila ang bagong henerasyon ng mga lodi na may dual competencies sa climate-adaptive livelihoods at disaster resilience.

🌱 Urban Farming & Food Security: Level up ang skills sa urban gardening! Dahil sa panahon ngayon, cool ang may sapat na supply ng pagkain sa mismong bakuran natin. Kaya pala ang farm in the city!

🗺️ Hazard Mapping & DRRM: Walang nanginginig sa emergency! Magiging equip sila sa pag-identify ng hazards sa komunidad, at kung nasaan ang rekurso para sa kaligtasan sa panahon ng kalamidad.

🤝 Youth Brigade: Sila ang magiging katuwang ng kanilang komunidad at andap tuwing may emergency at climate-related events. Laging handang rumesponde!

The Goal? Isulong ang Social Solidarity Economy (SSE) kung saan may bayanihan, pagtutulungan, at shared responsibility ang kabataan para sa mas sustainable na bukas. 🌍✊

In celebration of the National Migrant Workers' Day on June 7, 2026, the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) will launch the first Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) Global Summit at the Quezon City Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions (M.I.C.E.) Center in the Quezon City Hall Compound.

In partnership with the Quezon City Government, the Summit highlights the vital role of OFWs in shaping an inclusive economic growth and sustainable development for the country. It also seeks to strengthen partnerships, improve coordination and reaffirm the country’s commitment to protecting migrant workers, ensuring safe, ethical and orderly labor migration and fostering pathways for sustainable reintegration and long-term development impact.

Expected participants include land-based and sea-based OFWs, OFW organizations and families, senior-citizen OFWs, industry players, legislators, national and local government officials, international government organizations, financial institutions, private-sector partners and civil society groups.

Members of the National Reintegration Network (NRN) will offer programs and services to OFWs, including:
• Reintegration and legal assistance - DMW
• Welfare and wellness support - Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA)
• Passport services – Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA)
• Investment opportunities - Pag-IBIG Fund
• Social pension and related services - SSS – Social Security System and PhilHealth
• Local employment opportunities - Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE)
• Enterprise development assistance Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)
• Medical services – Department of Health (DOH)
• Training and upskilling – Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA)
• National ID registration – Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA)
• Immigration guidance – Bureau of Immigration and Deportation (BID)
• Overseas voting information – Commission on Elections (COMELEC)
• Remittance services – Overseas Filipino Bank (OF Bank)
• Business registration assistance – Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC)
