DOJ Recognized at DepEd Partners’ Appreciation Program; RD Padua Receives Plaque of Appreciation

The Department of Justice (DOJ) was among the distinguished partners recognized during the DepEd Partners’ Appreciation Program 2026, themed “Partnerships that Endure - Reforms that Last,” held at the Mandaluyong College of Science and Technology on May 8, 2026.
Department of Education Secretary Sonny Angara personally led the recognition ceremony, which gathered around 200 government agencies, diplomatic missions, international organizations, and private-sector partners that have contributed to the advancement of quality education for Filipino learners.
Representing the DOJ, Regional Director Dr. Janette S. Padua, CESO V received the plaque of appreciation and token of gratitude on behalf of the Department. The award recognized the DOJ’s dedication and outstanding support to DepEd’s programs and initiatives aimed at strengthening educational opportunities and outcomes.
The recognition highlights the enduring partnership between the DOJ and DepEd and reflects their shared commitment to advancing education and fostering positive reforms that benefit Filipino learners nationwide.
The event served as a meaningful celebration of collaboration, recognizing the vital role of partnerships in building a stronger and more inclusive education system for the country. # # #

𝐏𝐏𝐀 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐇𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐥𝐚 𝐈𝐧𝐤 𝐀𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐖𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐁𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐭 𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐲𝐞𝐞𝐬, 𝐂𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬

Administrator Bienvenido O. Benitez, Jr., representing the Parole and Probation Administration (PPA), and Ms. Rhayna Batalan, representing the Mental Health Hour Manila (MHH Manila), formally signed the Memorandum of Agreement on May 25, 2026, at the Teodulo Natividad Hall in Central Office.

The Agreement is aimed at 𝒂𝒅𝒗𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒂𝒍 𝒘𝒆𝒍𝒍-𝒃𝒆𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒕𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝑷𝑷𝑨 𝒆𝒎𝒑𝒍𝒐𝒚𝒆𝒆𝒔 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒊𝒕𝒔 𝒄𝒍𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒓𝒐𝒖𝒈𝒉 𝑴𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒂𝒍 𝑯𝒆𝒂𝒍𝒕𝒉 𝑯𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝑴𝒂𝒏𝒊𝒍𝒂’𝒔 𝒐𝒖𝒕𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒄𝒉 𝒑𝒓𝒐𝒈𝒓𝒂𝒎𝒔. The deal shall be in effect for an initial period of one year from the date of signing by both parties.

Witnesses to the signing were PPA Deputy Administrator Wilson R. Suba and MHH Manila VP for External Relations Ms. Jona Rose Alfonso.

This initiative was facilitated by the Community Services Division (CSD) staff, namely SPPO Jane R. Morales, SrPO Precilla Q. Camposanto, PPO II Hans Gerald B. Selis, PPO I Dixie Ann J. Rodriguez, and led by OIC Allizza Joy Castillo-Enciso. # # #

𝐏𝐏𝐀 𝐎𝐛𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐬 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐋𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥 𝐈𝐈 (𝐏𝐑𝐈𝐌𝐄 𝐇𝐑𝐌), 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧

On Monday, May 25, 2026, CSC-BFP Field Office Director Henry Peliño awarded the Certificate of Recognition to Administrator Bienvenido O. Benitez, Jr. after the flag-raising ceremony at the PPA – Central Office. The Certificate was given to the Parole and Probation Administration for obtaining 𝑴𝒂𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒊𝒕𝒚 𝑳𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒍 𝑰𝑰 in the following Human Resource Systems under the Enhanced PRIME-HRM:
- Recruitment, Selection, and Placement
- Performance Management
- Learning and Development
- Rewards and Recognition

PPA received the recognition as a result of its determination to promote people’s excellence for efficient and effective delivery of public service.

In his short message, Administrator Benitez extended his warm congratulations to the champions of each PRIME HRM pillar, the division chiefs, and the Personnel Section for their hard work. “𝑨𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒂𝒈𝒂𝒍 𝒏𝒊𝒍𝒂𝒏𝒈 𝒏𝒂𝒈𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒂 𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒂 𝒎𝒂-𝒂𝒄𝒉𝒊𝒆𝒗𝒆 𝒂𝒏𝒈 𝑴𝒂𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒊𝒕𝒚 𝑳𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒍 𝑰𝑰, 𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒈𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒖𝒍𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔”, he said.

(“They’ve been preparing for quite some time to achieve the Maturity Level II, congratulations”, he said).

Meanwhile, Personnel Section Chief Madelene B. Balane was happy for this certification and thanked each champion and their members for helping achieve this success.

Joining the Administrator to receive the Certificate were Deputy Administrator Wilson R. Suba, Training Unit Chief Freddie V. Aquino, Legal Division OIC Bonny M. Calizo, Personnel Section Chief Madelene B. Balane, Administrative Division Chief Marissa M. Aberion, Case Management and Records Division Chief Mary Ann G.
