The AlengPulis Cybersquad of the Women and Children Cybercrime Protection Unit (WCCPU) rescued three male minors identified by their aliases "Tino," 16; "Iboy," 15; and "Prince," 14, from online exploitation on March 30, 2026, at 2:15 PM in Tondo, Manila.
This is in connection with the follow-up rescue operation conducted on March 3, 2026, by the operatives, wherein a minor victim, alias "Wowie," was successfully rescued. During the interview, โWowieโ disclosed that other children were being victims of exploitation by offering and selling CSAEM.
The three minor victims were immediately turned over to District 1, Manila Department of Social Welfare Office, for psychological assessment, evaluation, and counseling.
Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., Chief of the Philippine National Police (PNP), underscored the urgency of a more proactive and coordinated approach and directed the intensified enforcement of cybercrime laws, with particular emphasis on strengthening measures to protect children from online sexual abuse and exploitation.
PBGEN Wilson C. Asueta, Acting Director of the PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group, commended the WCCPU AlengPulis Cybersquad for the successful rescue operation. He stated, โThe protection of children from online abuse is one of our foremost priorities. The PNP ACG, in coordination with partner agencies, will continue to strengthen efforts to safeguard the rights and welfare of the children.โ
