North Fairview High School successfully held its first Parent-Teacher Conference (PTC) for S.Y. 2026โ€“2027 on September 17. With the new curriculum in place, the conference gave parents, teachers, and students an opportunity to stay updated on the learnersโ€™ academic progress and other school-related matters. Updates were also given per grade level, while the Care Center and Learner Rights and Protection Office (LRPO) discussed the results of the LNA survey test and shared updates on the learnersโ€™ performance across each grade level.

The conference served as a way to strengthen communication among the school, parents, and learners, helping everyone stay informed and work together in supporting students throughout the school year.

The North Fairview High School will conduct its Term 1 Parent-Teacher Conference on September 17, 2026 (Thursday).

The activity will begin with a General Assembly at the Covered Court, followed by the Parent-Teacher Conference/Homeroom in the respective classrooms.

In the past three days, the Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG) of North Fairview High School participated in the Youth Leadership & Empowerment Summit 2026, held from September 8 to 10 at the Mt. Makiling Retreat and Recreation Center in Sto. Tomas, Batangas, in partnership with ELEVATE, CCF, Office of the Vice Mayor, and the Quezon City Schools Division Office.

Representing the SSLG were President Anthony Altomia, Vice President Jhazzel Tamani, Secretary Andrea Aguirre, Treasurer Jane Acebedo, and Auditor Princes Pastor.

Following the summit theme, โ€œRise to Lead,โ€ the event focused on building character, serving others, transforming the nation, and understanding the current state of Filipino youth in society, including their experiences and challenges.

The summit also raised awareness among student leaders on Servant Leadership and Ethical Governance; Leading by Example; Mental Health, Emotional Intelligence, and Holistic Resilience; Digital Citizenship and Integrity in the Digital World; Vision, Integrity, and the Path to Success (V.I.P.); Doing What Is Right: A Generation for the Nation; School and Community Action Planning; and Teamwork and Community Projects.

Throughout the event, the participating young leaders were reminded that they do not have to walk the journey alone. Together, we grow, we serve, and we rise.

According to Memorandum Circular No. 134 issued by the Office of the President, all classes in public and private schools in the National Capital Region (NCR) and the listed provinces will shift to alternative learning modes and learning continuity measures on September 4, 2026, due to heavy rainfall caused by the enhanced Southwest Monsoon and poor air quality brought by haze from forest and peatland fires in Indonesia.

Heroes donโ€™t always wear capes. Sometimes, they carry courage, sacrifice, and love for the nation.

Today, August 31, we honor the Filipino heroes whose bravery and sacrifices helped shape the Philippines we know today.

Their stories remind us that heroism is not always found in grand gestures. Sometimes, it is found in standing up for what is right, helping others, serving the community, and choosing to make a difference.
May we honor them by becoming heroes in our own ways.
