📚✨ Araw ng Pagbasa 2025 Celebration ✨📚

As part of the Araw ng Pagbasa celebration, the Quezon City Public Library – Matandang Balara Branch welcomed Ma’am Nina Daza-Puyat last November 27, 2025 for a special storytelling session. The daughter of culinary legend Nora Daza, Ma’am Nina has transitioned from food writing to creating engaging children’s stories. She captivated our students with her book Ang Alamat ng Lumpiang Shanghai (The Legend of the Fried Spring Rolls) using animation and visual storytelling.

Our Grade 4 students, under the guidance of Ma’am Adelhen K. Rosales, were delighted participants, discovering the joy of reading and the magic of stories. This activity is part of ongoing efforts to bring the library closer to the community and give children meaningful opportunities to explore, imagine, and learn.

A heartfelt THANK YOU to our Principal, Ma’am Merlin N. Villegas, for always supporting and championing initiatives that inspire our pupils to love reading and learning! 🙏📖

♻️ TRASH TO CASHBACK ORIENTATION ♻️
Para sa mga Magulang ng Old Balara Elementary School

Matagumpay na naisagawa ang Trash to Cashback Orientation noong November 29, 2025 sa OBES Gymnasium, kung saan ang mga magulang ng Old Balara Elementary School ay nakilahok sa isang makabuluhang talakayan tungkol sa wastong pamamahala ng basura at recycling. 🌱

Ang programa ay pinangunahan ng ating punong-g**o na si Ma’am Merlin N. Villegas, na patuloy na nagbibigay ng inspirasyon at suporta sa mga makakalikasan at makabuluhang gawain sa paaralan. 🌍✨

Ang oryentasyon ay ginampanan din ng ating tagapagsalita, Ma’am Vergie D. Bangalan mula sa City Office – Climate Change Department, at naisakatuparan sa tulong at kooperasyon ng Punong Barangay Hon. Allan Franza at ng kanyang konseho, bilang suporta sa kapakanan ng komunidad at kalikasan. 💚

Taos-pusong pasasalamat din kay Master Teacher Ma’am Lucille B. Beran sa kanyang gabay at dedikasyon, sa lahat ng g**o na tumulong, at sa mga magulang at guardians na aktibong nakinig at nakilahok sa napakahalaga at kapaki-pakinabang na paksang ito. 👏

♻️💚 Sama-sama nating isulong ang wastong pamamahala ng basura at pangangalaga sa kalikasan.
Mula sa basura, may halaga—mula sa munting gawain, may malaking pagbabago!
