high-tech air quality monitoring equipment for PBBM’s SONA 2026
The Environmental Management Bureau (EMB) technical personnel set up today, July 27, 2026, specialized air quality monitoring equipment along Commonwealth Avenue in Quezon City to track real-time pollution levels during President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s 4th State of the Nation Address (SONA).
The high-precision equipment deployed along the major thoroughfare is specifically calibrated to measure particulate matter (), Dioxins, Furans, and Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs). These parameters are being closely monitored to capture potential air quality impacts stemming from protest activities, including the burning of effigies, open bonfires, and the heavy congestion of transport vehicles surrounding the Batasang Pambansa complex.
