Kasunod ito ng utos ng Pangulo na tiyaking mabilis na natutugunan ang pangangailangan ng mga pasaherong nalipat ang flights sa Davao habang nagpapatuloy ang repair works sa airport ng Gensan.

Transportation Secretary Banoy Lopez and Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) General Manager Jay Santiago ordered the rerouting of ships from Makar Wharf in General Santos to Malalag Port in Davao del Sur to ensure continued passenger and cargo service, following Monday’s 7.8 magnitude earthquake off the coast of Sarangani Province.

This follows President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s directive to ensure uninterrupted economic activity and service to passengers.

Following the strong earthquake that recently affected several areas in Mindanao, the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) immediately implemented measures to ensure the safety of its personnel, transport stakeholders, and the riding public while maintaining the continuity of government services.

In line with the directives of LTFRB Chairman Atty. Vigor D. Mendoza II to closely monitor the situation in affected areas, LTFRB Board Member Engr. Isagani M. Victorio, DPA, proceeded to LTFRB Regional Franchising and Regulatory Office XI in Davao City to assist in the monitoring and assessment efforts.

During the visit, Engr. Victorio personally assessed the operational condition of the regional office, and coordinated with LTFRB XI headed by Regional Director Nonito A. Llanos III represented by OIC RD Atty. Ernest Benz S. Davila. The activity aimed to determine the effects of the earthquake on transport services, personnel, operators, drivers, and commuters, as well as identify immediate concerns and possible assistance measures should the need arise.

The inspection also forms part of the agency’s continuing efforts to strengthen disaster preparedness, ensure service continuity, and uphold responsive public service during emergencies.

Joining Engr. Victorio from LTFRB Central were Engr. Sherwin Calumba, Engr. Jenerwin Binoya, and from LTFRB XI were Engr. Ronnel Victor Panigon, Arc. Renzo Edrian Reyno and Engr. Mark Renz Baldevieso. The team also proceeded to Koronadal and General Santos City to continue with the inspections and assessment of LTFRB XII facilities under the leadership of Regional Director Pablito Benedian Jr.

The activity reflects the continuing directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., through DOTr Secretary Giovanni Z. Lopez and LTFRB Chairman Atty. Vigor D. Mendoza II, to ensure that government agencies remain responsive, resilient, and fully prepared in times of natural disasters.

LTFRB Region VII continued today the distribution of Fuel Subsidy Program checks for qualified Public Utility Vehicle (PUV) operators and drivers affected by the continuing increase in fuel prices.

Fuel subsidy checks were released to qualified operators under the following denominations:
➡️ PUB
➡️ TPUJ
➡️ FILCAB
➡️ MUVE
➡️ TUVE

Meanwhile, payroll checks intended for qualified MPUJ drivers were likewise released through five (5) designated operators in accordance with the approved payout arrangement and program guidelines.

Under the payout arrangement, fuel subsidy checks were released to qualified operators, who shall subsequently facilitate the distribution of the corresponding assistance to their authorized drivers in accordance with the program guidelines.

The activity forms part of the government’s continuing efforts to provide financial relief and operational support to the public transportation sector amid rising fuel costs, while helping ensure the continuity of safe and reliable transport services for the riding public.

LTFRB Region VII personnel remained on-site throughout the activity to assist beneficiaries, facilitate coordination, and help ensure an orderly and efficient distribution process.

Under the leadership of Regional Director Abosamen H. Matuan, M.Sc., and pursuant to the directives of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., through Department of Transportation (DOTr) Secretary Giovanni Z. Lopez, and LTFRB Chairman Atty. Vigor D. Mendoza II, LTFRB Region VII remains committed to implementing programs that provide timely assistance and responsive public service to the transport sector.

𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆𝐍𝐀𝐍: 14 bagong hire na law enforcers ng LTFRB Central Office, sumailalim sa orientation bilang bahagi ng pinalakas na kampanya ng ahensya laban sa mga colorum na sasakyan.

Sa ilalim ng patuloy na direktiba ng pamunuan ng Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) sa pangunguna ni Chairman Atty. Vigor D. Mendoza II, tinalakay sa orientation ang mga pangunahing tungkulin ng mga enforcer sa pagpapatupad ng mga regulasyon at pagpapalakas ng kampanya kontra ilegal na operasyon sa sektor ng pampublikong transportasyon.

Dumalo sa nasabing aktibidad sina Officer-in-Charge Executive Director Atty. Sherwin M. Vizconde at Atty. Paul Vincent Austria ng Legal Division, bilang pakikiisa sa pagpapatibay ng enforcement capabilities ng ahensya.

Bautista, MNSA kay Municipal Mayor Hon. Aaron James Madrona ng San Agustin, Romblon. Ginanap ang nasabing aktibidad noong ika-05 ng Hunyo 2026 sa bayan ng San Agustin, Romblon.

Sa isinagawang courtesy meeting, tinalakay ang kasalukuyang kalagayan at mga pangunahing usapin na kinahaharap ng pampublikong transportasyon sa bayan ng San Agustin. Napag-usapan din ang planong pagtatatag ng LTFRB Extension Office sa San Agustin, Romblon, na inaasahang magbibigay ng mas mabilis at mas accessible na serbisyo para sa mga operator, driver, at iba pang stakeholder sa buong lalawigan ng Romblon.

Kasunod nito, nagsagawa rin ang LTFRB ng Transport Coordination Meeting at Franchise Seminar na dinaluhan ng iba’t ibang transport groups sa Romblon. Naging mahalagang bahagi ng programa ang bukas na talakayan kung saan naipahayag ng mga kalahok ang kanilang mga katanungan, suhestiyon, at mga hamon na kinakaharap sa sektor ng transportasyon. Sa pamamagitan ng aktibong dayalogo, higit na napalalakas ang ugnayan sa pagitan ng ahensya at ng mga operator at stakeholder, tungo sa mas epektibong paghahatid ng serbisyo publiko.

Patuloy na isinusulong ng LTFRB Region IV-B MIMAROPA ang transparency, maayos na implementasyon ng mga polisiya, at mas malawak na accessibility ng mga serbisyo ng ahensya. Sa pakikipagtulungan sa mga lokal na pamahalaan at mga transport stakeholder, nananatiling katuwang ang LTFRB sa pagsusulong ng ligtas, maayos, at episyenteng sistema ng pampublikong transportasyon para sa mga mamamayan ng Romblon at ng buong MIMAROPA.

LTFRB R10 TRANSPORT INSPECTORS ASSIST STUDENTS UNDER OPLAN BALIK ESKWELA 2026–2027

Transport Inspectors and Enforcement Personnel of the LTFRB R10 conducted monitoring and passenger assistance activities at Bulua Elementary School, Cagayan de Oro City, as part of the agency's ongoing implementation of Oplan Balik Eskwela School Year 2026–2027 under Oplan Biyaheng Ayos.

The activity focused on ensuring the safety, convenience, and orderly movement of students, parents, and commuters during the opening of classes. LTFRB personnel provided pedestrian crossing assistance, monitored public utility vehicle operations in the vicinity of the school, and assisted passengers to help ensure a safe and efficient commuting experience.

The deployment likewise served to strengthen transport monitoring efforts in areas with high concentrations of students and commuters, while promoting road safety awareness and compliance with transportation regulations among motorists and public transport operators.

Under the leadership of Regional Director Aljo Bendijo, J.D., LTFRB RFRO No. 10 continues to intensify field operations and public assistance activities to safeguard students and commuters during the opening of School Year 2026–2027.

The activity highlights LTFRB R10's commitment to a whole-of-government approach in promoting road safety, protecting the welfare of commuters, and ensuring that public transportation services remain safe, accessible, and responsive to the needs of the public.

This initiative is undertaken in support of the Bagong Pilipinas vision of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., under the guidance of Department of Transportation Secretary Giovanni “Banoy” Z. Lopez and the leadership of LTFRB Chairman Atty. Vigor D. Mendoza II.
