Barangay South Triangle is in the southernmost quadrant of the National Government center originally envisioned by its founder, the late President Manuel Luis Quezon, comprising of four (4) quadrants whereby the northern quadrant has been allocated for government centers and institutions and the rest i.e., South, East and West, were allocated for residential areas designed to housing needs of the

government institution located nearby. It is predominantly a rolling terrain founded by three (3) major thoroughfares inter connecting other towns and cities within the metropolis bounded to the north by E. Delos Santos Avenue (EDSA), Quezon Avenue to the west and Timog Avenue on the Southern portion of the triangle. At present, Barangay South Triangle has been re-zoned and categorized into mixed land use such as residential, commercial, industrial and institutional zones. Barangay South Triangle was formerly created in the year 1975. Then City Mayor Norberto S. Amoranto, pursuant to Presidential Decree No. 557, issued an Executive order No.33 creating the Barangay which shall exist and operate as basic political units in Area XIV, 4th District this City, wherein Barangay South Triangle (former barrio) was included. Barangay South Triangle has a total land area of 112.50 hectares or 1.12 sq.km.
