It is with profound sorrow that we share the passing of our dear LIZETTE LIM, a valued Trustee of the Foundation.

Lizette joined the Foundation 20 years ago. It was 5 years later that she learned she had breast cancer. She was a visionary leader and a dedicated advocate for our shared mission. Her guidance significantly shaped the Foundation's impact in the community we served. As a breast cancer advocate, she inspired the Foundation to do its best for its beneficiaries.

Lizette's life is being remembered at the Arlington Memorial Chapels, #12 Gregorio Araneta Avenue, Quezon City. The Foundation will hold a *Tribute to Lizette* on Sunday, August 30, from 3 to 5 PM.

We warmly invite everyone who wishes to join us in honoring Lizette and the life she shared with us. Let us celebrate and honor the memories she left behind.

The Philippine Foundation for Breast Care, Inc aka Kasuso Foundation had a contract signing with MANILAMED on Feb 11, 2026. MANILAMED shall be securing slots for the prescribed needs of breast cancer patients via mammogram.

Kasuso officers in pink polo are Malu Cortez del Rosario, Flerida Jimenez and Susan Lim. Together with ManilaMed President Eduardo Eseque and CFO Art Kristoffer Belandres. Left most is Juni Del Rosario.

Every quarter, Ogie Diaz makes it Christmas for breast cancer patients by treating them to different activities and giving them take home gifts. This Aug 3, 2025, he treated the Kasuso Foundation patients and members to a movie he wrote and produced. He brought with him members of the cast to greet the audience in the theatre at SM North Edsa. Such a delight to meet the good looking Zanjoe Marudo, Gab and Juharra Asayo. Ang National Integrated Cancer Control Act (NICCA) (R.A. 11215) ay naisabatas taong 2019 sa adhikaing palawigin at pagbutihin ang mga serbisyong may kinalaman sa pag-iwas at pagpigil sa pagkakaroon ng kanser. Inaasahan na ang mga serbisyong ito ay mas abot-kamay at abot-kaya ng mamamayang Pilipino, lalo na ng mas nangangailangan nating mga kababayan.

Sa ilalim ng batas na ito ay ang programa ng CSPMAP o mas kilala bilang Cancer Supportive-Palliative Medicines Access Program. Layunin ng programang ito na makapagbigay ng libreng mga gamot katulad ng chemotherapy at targeted therapy sa walong pangunahing uri ng kanser upang mabawasan ang pasan na gastusin ng isang pasyenteng may kanser at umalalay sa pagpapatuloy nito upang matapos ang gamutan. Sa pamamagitan ng CSPMAP Access sites sa iba’t-ibang bahagi ng bansa, lahat ng pasyenteng may kanser ay matutulungang maitaguyod at matapos ang kanilang gamutan.

Ang Philippine Society of Medical Oncology (PSMO) ay kabalikat sa pagsulong at pagpapanatili ng programang ito. Angkop sa adbokasiya ng society ang maagang kaalaman tungkol sa pag-iwas at tamang gamutan sa kanser. Ang mga PSMO members sa buong Pilipinas ay katuwang ninyo sa adhikaing ito.
