The Agusan del Norte Electric Cooperative, Inc. (ANECO), in partnership with the NEA–EC Training Institute (NETI), successfully concluded the Electric Power Distribution Line Construction (EPDLC) Refresher Course for Batch 1 and 2 on November 24–28 and December 1–5, 2025. Under the guidance and expertise of Master Trainer Engr. Diosdado Flores III, the training strengthened the technical skills of participating lineworkers.

The program was made more meaningful as ANECO’s graciously welcome ten (10) ZAMSURECO II lineworkers as scholars, demonstrating ANECO's commitment to advancing capacity-building initiatives in rural electrification.

106 participants from 46 electric cooperatives successfully completed the three-day Cooperative Management Course I and Good Governance III (CMC I and III) from November 12–14, 2025 held at HESA, 2nd Floor, NEA Building, NIA Road, Diliman, Quezon City.

This training course is one of the various mandatory courses of NEA for newly elected Board of Directors (BODs) and newly appointed General Managers, Officers-in-Charge, and NEA representatives of ECs.

Seventeen (17) NEA speakers took turns discussing key topics related to the NEA and EC Strategic Directions and Flagship Programs, including financial, institutional, technical, audit, regulatory compliance, and legal assistance—highlighting, above all, the importance of good governance.

Meanwhile, Engr. Humphrey A. Dolor, General Manager of Oriental Mindoro Electric Cooperative Inc. (ORMECO), was invited to share ORMECO's best management practices.

Calling all EC respondents!

The NEA-EC Training Institute (NETI) is currently reassessing the Training and Development Needs of NEA and its partner Electric Cooperatives to determine current competency or performance gaps and training demands of ECs, with the goal of crafting an NEA-EC Capacity Development Plan for CY 2026-2027.

The primary purpose of the Training Needs Assessment (TNA) is to identify training priorities and address existing competency and performance gaps. This assessment focuses solely on current job requirements and performance improvement. Please note that future career advancement or developmental goals are not covered by this survey, as these are addressed through other tools such as the Performance Evaluation System integrating the Balanced Scorecard, Succession Plan, among others.

The survey identifies three primary competency categories: Core, Functional, and Leadership. Please note that each form has been customized to reflect the specific FUNCTIONAL competencies of each allied organization. Therefore, sharing or using a form from another allied organization (i.e., technical to institutional or vice versa) may not accurately address the intended competency gaps for the respondent.

The NEA - EC Training Institute - NETI is thrilled to share the successful conduct of our first-ever pilot project on 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 (𝐆𝐀𝐃) - 𝐒𝐞𝐱 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐀𝐠𝐞 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐠𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐚 (𝐒𝐀𝐃𝐃) 𝐒𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐫 for the Nueva Vizcaya Electric Cooperative (Nuvelco)! 🤗❤️

This marks a huge step forward in our commitment to mainstreaming GAD programs, activities, and projects (PAPs) within the Electric Cooperatives (ECs).

The success of this activity was made possible through the collaborative efforts of the NEA-GAD Focal Point System (GFPS) Technical Working Group (TWG) members: Director Luisa I. Hernandez, Acting Manager Ma. Regina C. Filoteo, Mr. Ivan Phillip B. Lagman and the GAD Technical Expert Ms. Maria Helen F. Dayo who serves as the resource speaker for the two-day seminar conducted at the NUVELCO Main Office, Gabut, Dupax del Sur, Nueva Vizcaya.

Together, we are driving the mainstreaming of Gender and Development to foster a more inclusive and equitable future! 💪
