Equipping youth volunteers with the knowledge to serve with competence and compassion. 🚑✨

Last 𝗙𝗲𝗯𝗿𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝟮𝟭–𝟮𝟮, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, members of the UP Red Cross Youth successfully completed the 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐕𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐎𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐥𝐞 (𝐘𝐕𝐎𝐌) and the 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐕𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞 (𝐘𝐕𝐅𝐂) as part of the requirements for their 𝐎𝐜𝐜𝐮𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐀𝐢𝐝 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐋𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐞. Last November 29, 2025, the UP RCY conducted an outreach program entitled "𝗞𝘄𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘂𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝘁 𝗟𝗶𝗸𝗵𝗮𝗮𝗻 𝘀𝗮 𝗧𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻" at the 𝗚𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗻 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗘𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗹𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗮𝘀𝗲𝘀 (𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗖𝗘𝗦) in Quezon City. GRACES is a diagnostic and residential facility for lost, abandoned, neglected, and unattached senior citizens, managed by the Department of Welfare and Social Development (DWSD) in partnership with various organizations.

Facilitated by the Projects and Operations Department, the outreach program held a flower-arranging activity where the residents expressed themselves through the flowers they arranged. After the activity, snacks and lunch were shared with everyone.

We extend our sincere gratitude to Jing's Lutong Bahay for providing 215 food packs, and to Lang-ay Blooms for making the flower-arranging activity possible.

A total of PhP 11,984.63 was also raised through monetary donations, which also served as aid for the program to be possible. We also received various in-kind donations, which were shared with the residents.

UP RCY would like to thank everyone who contributed their time, resources, and support in making this meaningful outreach activity a success.
