COPS ARRESTS SUSPECT IN CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY DRUG BUY-BUST OPERATION; PHP41K WORTH OF ALLEGED SHABU CONFISCATED

A man who allegedly figured in a viral snatching incident involving a senior citizen in Cagayan de Oro City was arrested in a drug buy-bust operation that resulted in the confiscation of approximately 6.1 grams of suspected shabu worth PHP41,480 on August 25, 2026.

PNP ARRESTS BANGKOK-BOUND PASSENGER FOR R**E AT NAIA

Immigration screening at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 led to the identification and arrest of a 60-year-old male Filipino passenger wanted under an alias warrant of arrest on August 26, 2026.

Coordination among the Bureau of Immigration, NAIA Police Station 3 and Criminal Investigation and Detection Group, Regional Field Unit–National Capital Region (CIDG RFU-NCR) led to the passenger’s arrest through the implementation of the alias warrant.

PSR-LISTED CTG MEMBER’S TIP LEADS TO HIDDEN ARMS CACHE IN SURIGAO DEL SUR

The Philippine National Police, under the leadership of PNP Chief PGEN Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., recovered a concealed Communist Terrorist Group (CTG) arms cache in Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur, after information from a previously arrested PSR-listed CTG member led police to the hidden location.
On August 21, 2026, personnel of the 1st Special Action Battalion (1SAB), Special Action Force (SAF), together with other PNP and Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) units, conducted a SAF-initiated counterinsurgency combat operation in Barangay Tagbobonga, Hinatuan, resulting in the recovery of the concealed cache.

PRO12 ARRESTS 10 WANTED PERSONS FOR VARIOUS OFFENSES IN SOCCSKSARGEN REGION

Police Regional Office 12 (PRO12) conducted 15 manhunt and warrant service operations on August 25, 2026, resulting in the arrest of or service of warrants against 10 wanted persons, including one Top Ten Most Wanted Person.

Among them was alias “Bro,” 32, the Top 2 City-Level Most Wanted Person, who was arrested in Tupi, South Cotabato, for three counts of R**e, with recommended bail of PHP200,000.00 per case.

PNP NABS TOP 1 MOST WANTED PERSON IN BALUNGAO, PANGASINAN FOR ARSON

Personnel of the Balungao Police Station arrested the Top 1 Most Wanted Person at the Municipal Level during an operation conducted on August 24, 2026, in Balungao, Pangasinan.

The arrested individual was identified as a 40-year-old, single, truck driver, and resident of Balungao, Pangasinan. He was arrested by virtue of a Warrant of Arrest issued for the crime of Arson, with a recommended bail bond of PHP72,000.00.

BARMM POLLS: PNP DEPLOYS 9,435 PERSONNEL, SECURITY PREPARATIONS AT 98%

With only 18 days to go before the September 14, 2026 BARMM Parliamentary Elections, the Philippine National Police (PNP) has deployed a total of 9,435 personnel as security preparations move into the final stretch.
The deployment covers election-related security duties across the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), including the protection of voting centers, Commission on Elections (COMELEC) offices, treasurers’ offices, checkpoints, quick reaction forces, civil disturbance management units, and Special Electoral Boards.

The Philippine National Police (PNP) has deployed a total of 9,435 personnel as security preparations move into the final stretch on September 14, 2026 BARMM Parliamentary Elections.

PNP ARRESTS FIVE SUSPECTS IN NABUA, CAMARINES SUR FOR ALLEGED FDA LAW VIOLATION, SEIZES PHP2.47M WORTH OF COOKING OIL

The Philippine National Police (PNP), through the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) and other operating units in Camarines Sur, seized more than PHP2.4 million worth of cooking palm oil during a law enforcement operation in Nabua, Camarines Sur on August 26, 2026.

The operation stemmed from the implementation of a search warrant for an alleged violation of Republic Act No. 9711, or the Food and Drugs Administration Act of 2009. Authorities recovered various containers holding a total of about 76 kilograms of cooking palm oil and 56.4 liters of the same product, along with three digital weighing scales, a closed van, and relevant documents.
