While Congress is on recess, Congressman Kenneth Paolo Tereng continues to work on programs and policy initiatives that will directly benefit the people.
Today, he paid a courtesy visit to the regional office of the Department of Labor and Employment - Cordillera Administrative Region (DOLE-CAR) and met with Regional Director Imelda Romanillos; Assistant Regional Director Atty. Olivia Samson; and Mediator-Arbiter Atty. Anthony Wooden, Jr. to discuss livelihood opportunities and employment-generating programs for organized groups, particularly those engaged in the agriculture sector.
The discussion focused on strengthening support for farmers’ organizations, cooperatives, and community-based groups through sustainable livelihood assistance, skills training, capacity-building programs, and access to government interventions that can help improve productivity and income.
Congressman Kenneth emphasized the importance of creating programs that not only provide immediate assistance but also empower communities to become self-reliant and economically resilient.
Through continuous consultation and collaboration with regional line agencies, Congressman Kenneth remains committed to crafting responsive legislation and bringing government services closer to the people.
