This Valentine's day, badly want a hug but need to follow social distancing protocol? Hug a tree instead.

For this year, the Forest Management Bureau (FMB) of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) wants to introduce an alternative way of getting hugs this Valentine's Day by Joining the Tree Hugging Day Campaign.

The Tree Hugging Day Campaign aims to promote the social/health benefits that we can derive from nurturing trees/forests, and raise awareness on the importance of the tree hugging movement 😌

Everyone is invited to participate in this campaign by following this procedure:

Cacao has been one of the products that helped the People's Organization (PO) of Upper Balongkot Small Farmers And Farm Workers Association, Inc.(UBSFAFWA) in terms of their livelihood.

Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, they have effectively advertised their cacao products using various social media platforms in order to continuously support the needs of their community.

Despite the current situation brought by the pandemic outbreak, the People's Organization (POs) of LLRB has been commended for their efforts in effectively maintaining and protecting their plantations, thus, resulting to the validation and successful turnover of the NRM subprojects.

The turnover of the Natural Resources Management (NRM) subprojects of the People’s Organizations (POs) for the Wahig-Inabanga River Basin (WIRB) under the INREM Project was held on July 21, 2021 at the Nam Nam Eatery, Kubo Inn, Poblacion Dagohoy, Bohol.

In the Municipality of Dagohoy, the people of Barangay Cagawasan celebrated the launching and turnover of the access road and foot trail on June 30, 2021. These infrastructures represent an opportunity that would open doors and bring growth in terms of accessibility and livelihood opportunities.
