The Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA) – Palawan Provincial Office, headed by Acting Division Chief I Engr. Arlo G. Solano, successfully conducted the Simultaneous Massive Coconut Planting Program in Barangay Cataban, Municipality of Taytay, Palawan.

The activity brought together various coconut farmer associations, organizations, and cooperatives, along with partner agencies and stakeholders, including the PCIC, PNP–Taytay Police Station, Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), Municipal Government of Taytay through the Municipal Agriculture Office, and the Barangay Council of Cataban, headed by Hon. Yolanda A. Tumampil.

The Provincial Government of Palawan, represented by Provincial Agriculturist Engr. Reniel Rocaberte, also joined the activity, reaffirming its continued support for coconut development initiatives in the province.

🌱 More than planting seedlings, we are planting hope, strengthening partnerships, and growing a more sustainable future for our coconut farmers.

🤝 Through strong collaboration among government agencies, LGUs, farmer organizations, and stakeholders, we continue to work together toward a stronger, more productive, and sustainable coconut industry in Palawan.

Just In! ❗️❗️❗️

In view of the celebration of 40th National Coconut Week, a collaborative Simultaneous Massive Coconut Planting Program was successfully conducted in Brgy. Sto. Niño, Sablayan, Occidental Mindoro.

The activity was led by Regional Manager III Dennis D. Andres, in partnership with the Local Government Unit of Sablayan, headed by Mayor Walter B. Marquez and Vice Mayor Edwin Mintu, with the active participation of various government agencies, partner organizations, and stakeholders.

The activity was further strengthened through the participation and support of ATI MIMAROPA, PCIC MIMAROPA, Philippine National Police (PNP), Philippine Army, DENR MIMAROPA, Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO), and the Farmer Cooperative and Associations (FCA) in Occidental Mindoro.

With the nationwide goal of planting 100 million coconut trees across the Philippines, every seedling planted symbolizes a collective commitment to revitalizing coconut production, strengthening coconut farming communities, promoting environmental sustainability, and building a more productive and climate-resilient coconut industry for future generations.

“Regenerating the Coconut Economy, Future-Proofing the Coconut Value”

Furthermore, a forum was conducted following the planting activity, providing an avenue for information sharing, meaningful discussions, and stakeholder engagement concerning the coconut industry and its development.

This initiative highlights the importance of multi-sectoral collaboration and collective action in regenerating the coconut industry and creating a sustainable future for millions of coconut farmers and their families.

A Consultative Meeting and Workshop on the FY 2027 Programs and Projects was successfully conducted in Sto. Niño, Sablayan, Occidental Mindoro.

In collaboration with the Local Government Unit of Sablayan, the activity provided a meaningful platform for coconut farmers and stakeholders to share their insights, experiences, needs, and recommendations concerning the programs and projects to be implemented in Occidental Mindoro for FY 2027.

The workshop also emphasized the importance of farmer participation and stakeholder engagement in ensuring that proposed interventions are responsive to actual field conditions and aligned with the needs of coconut farming communities.

Through strengthened collaboration among the PCA, LGU Sablayan, and coconut farmers, we continue to work toward more inclusive, responsive, and sustainable programs for the development of the coconut industry in Occidental Mindoro.
