The Philippine National Police Anti-Cybercrime Group (PNP ACG) continues to intensify its campaign against Photo and Video Voyeurism through sustained nationwide operations, resulting in significant operational accomplishments during the first five months of 2026.โฃ
โฃ
From January to May 2026, the PNP ACG conducted a total of 35 Anti-Photo and Video Voyeurism operations across the country, leading to the arrest of 27 individuals involved in the unauthorized recording, possession, sharing, and distribution of intimate photos and videos.โฃ

The operations also resulted in the rescue of six Children in Conflict with the Law (CICL) and one victim, highlighting the PNP ACGโs commitment not only to apprehending offenders but also to protecting vulnerable individuals affected by cyber-enabled crimes.โฃ
โฃ
These successful operations were carried out through the coordinated efforts of the PNP ACGโs Special Operation Units (SOUs), Regional Anti-Cybercrime Units (RACUs), Satellite Offices, Provincial and City Cyber Response Teams (P/CCRTs), and District Anti-Cybercrime Teams, in close coordination with local police units.โฃ
โฃ
The arrests stemmed from various complaints against individuals involved in the production, possession, dissemination, and exploitation of intimate and private content without the consent of the persons involved. โฃ
โฃ
Investigation of the cases revealed that most offenders were personally acquainted with the victims, with the offenses commonly motivated by revenge, harassment, coercion, personal gain, or other malicious purposes.โฃ
โฃ
The PNP ACG emphasized that Photo and Video Voyeurism is a serious offense punishable under RA No. 9995 (Anti-Photo and Video Voyeurism Act of 2009), which protects the privacy and dignity of individuals against the unauthorized recording, reproduction, sharing, and distribution of intimate images and videos.โฃ
โฃ
These accomplishments support the directives of Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., Chief of the PNP, under the Enhanced Managing Police Operations (EMPO) framework of the PNP Focused Agenda, which promotes intelligence-driven, technology-enabled, and responsive policing strategies in addressing emerging threats in cyberspace.โฃ
โฃ
Police Major General Wilson C. Asueta, Director of the PNP ACG, reiterated the Group's commitment to safeguarding cyberspace and protecting the public from online exploitation. "These accomplishments reflect our unwavering resolve to pursue individuals who violate the privacy and dignity of others through technology. We encourage victims and concerned citizens to immediately report incidents of photo and video voyeurism so that appropriate legal action can be taken and victims can receive the necessary assistance," PMGEN Asueta said.โฃ
