As part of the National Disability Rights (NDR) Week 2026 celebration, the Local Government Unit of Quezon, through the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO), successfully held the PWD Got Talent and Slogan Contest on July 24, 2026, at the Municipal Gymnasium, Quezon, Nueva Vizcaya.

The activity provided a platform for Persons with Disabilities to showcase their talents, confidence, and creativity, while encouraging participants in the Slogan Contest to express their support for disability rights and inclusive development. The event highlighted that every individual has unique abilities and valuable contributions to the community.

Together, we celebrate diversity, promote equal opportunities, and continue to build a society where everyone is respected, empowered, and included.

In celebration of National Disability Rights (NDR) Week 2026, the Local Government Unit of Quezon, through the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO), successfully conducted the Seminar on the Ten Types of Disability and the Seminar on Responsible Parenting, RA 7610 (Child Abuse Law), and RA 8353 (Anti-Rape Law) on July 23, 2026, at the Municipal Gymnasium, Quezon, Nueva Vizcaya.

The activity strengthened awareness of disability rights, promoted responsible parenting, and reinforced the importance of protecting children and fostering an inclusive community where everyone is respected, valued, and given equal opportunities.

📢 NCSC CASH GIFT PAY-OUT FOR MILESTONE AGE SENIOR CITIZENS

🎉 Congratulations to our 14 Senior Citizens who successfully received their ₱10,000 Cash Gift Birthday Incentive under the Expanded Centenarians Act (Republic Act No. 11982) during the NCSC Milestone Age Cash Gift Pay-out held on July 15, 2026 at the LGU Gymnasium, Aurora, Quezon, Nueva Vizcaya.

This program was spearheaded by Regional Director Ms. Dulceneah Lyra Dela Cruz, in collaboration with Hon. Anabelle Mae B. Binwag, Municipal Mayor, and through the dedicated support of the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) headed by Ms. Marizel A. Reyes.

The two-day activity aimed to strengthen parenting knowledge and skills, promote positive family relationships, and empower parents in raising responsible, healthy, and well-rounded children.

In line with the continued commitment of LGU Quezon to promote and protect the welfare of senior citizens, Ms. Jaquelyn B. Guimmin, Social Welfare Assistant and Focal Person for Elderly Welfare, together with Mr. Napoleon C. Balallo, OSCA Head, attended and actively participated in the 2nd Quarter General Assembly of the Senior Citizens Association of Aurora, Quezon, Nueva Vizcaya on June 14, 2026.

During the assembly, updates on the various programs, services, and benefits available to senior citizens were discussed and disseminated. The activity also provided an opportunity to address the concerns, questions, and queries raised by the members, ensuring that they are well-informed about the assistance and services intended for their sector.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the Municipal Mayor of LGU Quezon for the unwavering support and approval of programs and initiatives that benefit our senior citizens.
