SIM CARD DISTRIBUTION
Municipality of Quirino, Ilocos Sur

The Local Government Unit of Quirino is pleased to inform the public of the successful conduct of the SIM Card Distribution spearheaded by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) in partnership with DICT which benefitted a total of 231 qualified beneficiaries from the Municipality of Quirino, Ilocos Sur.

The said distribution covered the following beneficiary sectors: 4P's Parent Leaders, Senior High School and College Students currently enrolled in schools within the Province of Ilocos Sur, and 4P's Household-Beneficiaries (HHS) who have already graduated from the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program.

IN MEMORIAM

With profound sadness and deep respect, the Local Government Unit of Quirino, Ilocos Sur announces the passing of a distinguished public servant and a pillar of our municipality.

MR. RICARDO P. LACBAO SR.
Former Municipal Secretary & Sangguniang Bayan Member
Municipality of Quirino, Ilocos Sur

Mr. Lacbao devoted the best years of his life in faithful and dedicated service to the people of Quirino. He served with honor and distinction as Municipal Secretary for three consecutive terms ,from April 1, 1956 to December 31, 1959; January 1, 1960 to December 31, 1963; and January 1, 1964 to December 31, 1967, a combined twelve years of steadfast commitment to the administrative affairs of our municipality during its formative years.

His dedication to public service did not end there. He continued to serve the people of Quirino as a Member of the Sangguniang Bayan for three consecutive terms, from February 2, 1988 to June 30, 1992; July 1, 1992 to June 30, 1995; and July 1, 1995 to June 30, 1998.

To his beloved family, the Local Government Unit of Quirino extends its most heartfelt condolences, deepest sympathies, and sincerest prayers. May you find comfort in the knowledge that his years of service and sacrifice for our municipality will never be forgotten.

Rest in eternal peace, Mr. Ricardo P. Lacbao Sr. Your service to Quirino is your lasting legacy.

SIMULTANEOUS RICE DISTRIBUTION AWARDING CEREMONY
Municipality of Quirino, Ilocos Sur | June 1, 2026

The Local Government Unit of Quirino takes great pride in announcing the successful conduct of the Simultaneous Rice Distribution Awarding Ceremony held today, June 1, 2026, which extended tangible assistance to a total of 738 qualified beneficiaries from the Municipality of Quirino, Ilocos Sur.

This significant program was made possible through the collective efforts and generous support of the Office of the President. The LGU- Quirino extends its deepest gratitude to the Provincial Government of Ilocos Sur, led by the Honorable Provincial Governor JEREMIAS "JERRY" SINGSON, through the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO), for spearheading the provincial implementation of this program and ensuring that assistance reaches every family in the province.

Equal recognition is likewise accorded to the Local Government Unit of Quirino, under the exemplary leadership of the Honorable Municipal Mayor ATTY. JEMAROSE G. GOMINTONG, through the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) headed by AIDA C. DAIWEY, for the efficient coordination, careful validation, and orderly distribution of assistance to our 738 beneficiaries.

The LGU also extends its sincere appreciation to the Honorable Sangguniang Panlalawigan Member BENJAMIN MAGGAY for personally gracing the awarding ceremony and for his steadfast advocacy in support of social welfare programs that uplift the lives of our constituents.
