Hon. Jestoni D. Nangitoy, Provincial Indigenous Peoples Mandatory Representative (IPMR) of Quirino Province, actively participated in the Workshop on the Philippine National Action Plan on Business and Human Rights (NAP-BHR) held on July 23β25, 2026 at the Atencio-Libunao Hall , UP College of Law, UP Diliman, Quezon City.
The workshop brought together key stakeholde,rs to: β’ Deepen participants' understanding of the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGPs); β’ Present the results of previous discussions with government agencies and business groups on the proposed Philippine National Action Plan on Business and Human Rights (NAP-BHR); and β’ Gather valuable inputs and recommendations from stakeholders to further strengthen the country's National Action Plan on Business and Human Rights.
Hon. Nangitoy's participation reflects his steadfast commitment to promoting and protecting the rights and welfare of Indigenous Peoples in Quirino Province, while ensuring that development and business activities uphold human rights, accountability, and meaningful community participation.
