22 June 2026 | School Emergency Response Plan and Team (SERP/SERT)
The Bureau of Fire Protection Region IX, under the leadership of 𝗙S𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗧 KADIL T ACALUL, DSC, Regional Director, and under the supervision of 𝗙𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗧 π—Ÿπ—¨π—–π—œπ—’ 𝗣 π—”π—Ÿπ—•π—”π—₯π—”π—–π—œπ—‘, DSC, Provincial Fire Marshal, personnel of the Ramon Magsaysay Municipal Fire Station, led by SFO3 Russell S Bajao, Acting Municipal Fire Marshal, conducted an Obligasyon sa Bayan, Ligtas na Pamayanan (OLP) activity as part of the Safe School Initiative at Caniangan Elementary School, ZDS.
The activity aimed to assist the school administration and students in the formulation of the School Emergency Response Plan (SERP) and the organization of the School Emergency Response Team (SERT). Through this initiative, participants were provided with guidance and orientation to further enhance safety awareness, strengthen preparedness measures, and improve the school's capacity to effectively respond to emergencies.
This undertaking supports the implementation of the BFP Community-Centric Fire Prevention Masterplan, strengthening the commitment to build safer, more prepared, and resilient communities.

EMERGENCY RESPONSE PLAN FOR BUSINESS (ERPB)
0900H–1100H | 26 JUNE 2026
IN PHOTO | Personnel of the Ramon Magsaysay Municipal Fire Station, headed by SFO3 Russell S Bajao, Acting Municipal Fire Marshal, conducted the Crafting of the Emergency Response Plan for Business (ERPB) for various business establishments in Barangay Caniangan, Ramon Magsaysay, Zamboanga del Sur.
The activity aimed to assist business owners in developing a structured and comprehensive Emergency Response Plan to ensure preparedness during fire incidents and other unforeseen emergencies. Personnel provided technical guidance on hazard identification, risk assessment, evacuation planning, designation of emergency response teams, communication flow, and proper coordination with responding agencies.
The activity was conducted under the supervision of our esteemed Regional Director, 𝗙SS𝗨𝗣𝗧 KADIL T ACALUL, 𝗗𝗦𝗖, together with the Provincial Fire Marshal, 𝗙𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗧 π—Ÿπ—¨π—–π—œπ—’ 𝗣 π—”π—Ÿπ—•π—”π—₯π—”π—–π—œπ—‘, 𝗗𝗦𝗖.

The Bureau of Fire Protection Region IX, under the leadership of FSSUPT KADIL T ACALUL, DSC, Regional Director, and under the supervision of FSUPT LUCIO P ALABARACIN, DSC, Provincial Fire Marshal, through the personnel of Ramon Magsaysay Municipal Fire Station led by SFO3 Russell S Bajao, Acting Municipal Fire Marshal, successfully conducted a Community Fire Protection Plan (CFPP) House-to-House Survey, Information Campaign, and Fire Safety Demonstration as part of the program "Obligasyon sa Bayan, Ligtas na Pamayanan" (OLP) among the residents of Barangay Caniangan, Ramon Magsaysay, Zamboanga del Sur.
The activity aimed to enhance community awareness on fire prevention and safety measures, gather relevant data for the formulation and implementation of the Community Fire Protection Plan, and educate residents on the proper actions to take during fire incidents and other emergencies. Fire safety tips, hazard identification, emergency preparedness measures, and basic fire response procedures were discussed to promote a safer and more resilient community.
Through continuous community engagement and proactive fire safety initiatives, the Bureau of Fire Protection remains committed to protecting lives, properties, and the environment from destructive fires and other related emergencies.
